Many years ago we decided that due to the size of hotel rooms in Europe, when we travel to Europe we prefer to take an apartment for our 4-5 day vacations. We have stayed at many apartments throughout Europe but our stay at the Barcelona Apartment Mila was one of the best. It was very simple to reserve an apartment at a reasonable price and we received prompt and thorough answers to our questions previous to our stay. We chose the self check in process so that when we arrived at the apartment the key to our room was waiting for us. Even though there was a problem with the payment link, the problem was solved and the check in was easy and quick. The apartment was well furnished and clean with two bedrooms with twin beds and two separate showers/bathrooms (one was attached to one of the bedrooms). The living room was spacious and the kitchen well equipped with everything we needed. The area is residential with a wide range of shops, bakeries, supermarkets, produce stores, etc. within 5 minutes walking distance. There is an open market 10 minutes away by foot. The rooms are furnished with drapes to block out light and double windows to reduce the noise from outside. When we requested something from the reception, it was promptly taken care of… The apartment is well located not far from most of the Barcelona attractions with a Metro station within walking distance.. All in all it was a great stay and we can't wait to return to Barcelona… There is a bar opposite the apartment so if you are very sensitive to noise, you may find it to be problematic. When we closed the windows, we barely heard anything but others may be affected...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of staying in a beautiful two-room apartment that was both clean and spacious. Its prime location allows for a leisurely 20-minute walk to the iconic Sagrada Familia, and we found convenience at every turn with numerous supermarkets and shops, including pharmacies, bodegas, and clothing stores all nearby.
While the management's strict adherence to kitchen cleanliness and garbage disposal rules is commendable for maintaining high standards, I believe there are opportunities for improvement that could significantly enhance the guest experience.
First and foremost, revamping the check-in process would be a game-changer. It can be quite inconvenient for guests, especially those arriving from long flights, to travel to a separate location just to collect keys. A streamlined check-in would truly elevate the experience.
Additionally, I encountered difficulties with slow internet connectivity and faced challenges getting in touch with customer service for assistance. Strengthening communication channels would be beneficial for all guests.
Overall, our stay was wonderful, and I genuinely believe that addressing these aspects could make future visits even more enjoyable. Thank you for considering...
Read moreI pre-paid 3 nights during very busy period of MWC 2018 (Feb. 26 - March 1). As the check in time was not friendly between 10:30a.m. - 6:30pm. I missed first night of check-in and they cancelled my whole reservation without contact me via e-mail or phone calls. I tried to check-in the 2nd night, they took my pre-paid US$1,108 away with a very rude attitude without offering a solutions but request me to pay double (Euro 600)to stay in the place I already paid for. I was there alone, tired from the show and no where to stay, their manager Sarah was rude and told me she will call police on me if I don't leave. I reported this to Orbitz, and claim case with Spanish government for investigation already. I am not sure how many people have been in my situation but believed me, you will not want to have anything to do with extremely bad customer service like...
