A Taste of Home in Barcelona
During our visit to Barcelona, we made it a point to seek out a Filipino restaurantâand weâre so glad we found Bar SerenEaty Filipinas! Located just a 22-minute walk from our hotel, this cozy spot offered an authentic and heartwarming experience.
We arrived for an early dinner and had the restaurant to ourselves, which made for an intimate dining experience. The owners, a lovely Filipino couple who doubled as the chef and server, made us feel right at home. Their warmth and hospitality truly elevated our meal.
For our dinner, we enjoyed a selection of Filipino classics: Lomi, pork BBQ with rice, lumpiang shanghai, and leche flan for dessert. Each dish was beautifully prepared and tasted just like homeâbringing us closer to the Philippines in every bite.
To top it off, the owners treated us to a long, friendly chat and went the extra mile by recommending places to visit in Barcelona, complete with a handwritten list!

Read moreWe found this place using google maps, and we are so glad we did. It is a small neighborhood bar and restaurant specializing in Filipino food. From the outside it is nothing special, a local bar you could pass by and think nothing about. Trust me, though. If you go inside and order. You will find some of the best food outside of your Lolaâs kitchen. We had lumpia Shanghai, pork barbecue sticks, sinigang hipon (shrimp), and pancit miki. (Uses home made thick noodles) and halo-halo for dessert. The food was consistently delicious and well prepared, easily the best lumpia Iâve had. The pancit with classic ingredients but thick noodles was an inspiration! It was a different mouth feel but all the flavors blended together beautifully. The sinigang and pork sticks were also very well seasoned and prepared. The halo-halo with a mix of fresh mango, leche-flan, and all the other usual add-ins was the cherry on top. Iâm glad we walked, because we sure needed the exercise after that feast. Thank you Joy for serving us such...
Read moreWhat I really like about this Filipino restaurant is how affordable it is. Despite the low prices, the food quality is outstanding definitely a 10/10. Iâm a returning customer living in LâEixample, and we often use Glovo for delivery. I also visited the restaurant in person last month, and they offer coffee and beers as well. There's a free street parking near the restaurant, so if you have a car, parking is...
