I recently stayed at Hotel Catalonia Albeniz and was thoroughly impressed by its excellent location. Nestled right in the heart of Barcelona, this hotel is a stone's throw away from the bustling touristic center, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. As someone keen on immersing in local culture, I was delighted to find a plethora of tapa restaurants just around the corner. Each evening was an adventure, sampling different local delicacies within walking distance of the hotel.
In terms of value, Hotel Catalonia Albeniz hits the sweet spot. It offers a good balance between cost and comfort, making it an ideal choice for travelers who want to experience Barcelona without breaking the bank. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and equipped with the necessary amenities, ensuring a comfortable stay.
However, there was a slight hiccup in our accommodation preference. We were hoping for a single, large bed but ended up with twin beds. While this wasn't a major issue, it would have been preferable to have our request accommodated for a more seamless experience.
Overall, I would recommend Hotel Catalonia Albeniz to anyone looking for a budget-friendly, conveniently located place to stay in Barcelona. Its proximity to major attractions and the culinary delights of local tapa restaurants, combined with its reasonable pricing, makes it an excellent choice. Just be specific about your bedding preferences to ensure your stay is exactly...
Read moreWe stayed in this hotel 4 nights in total. The hotel had some up and down sides. Downs, 1) the rooms were not sound proof. Therefore we could hear our neighbors and people in the hall way very well. 2) we booked a double room which was supposed to be 18-19 m2 and they gave us a room which was hardly 15 m2. We noticed this in the late evening. We told this to the reception and asked for a room change, they said that the hotel is fully booked today and they can change our room from the second night. The first night was quite tough but we managed it and they gave us a room the day after. Upon check out I told them that everything was fine except the first night. But to my surprise instead of at least apologizing for the inconvenience they made us by not giving us the room they were paid for from the first day, the reception behaved quite strange and told us indirectly that we have to be thankful that they changing our room from the second day. I think she was not aware of the room description noted in the booking confirmation. Anyhow, now moving to the up sides, the location of hotel was really great, easy access to Metro and good Resturants ( local ones with traditional food with mostly local guests, not tourists like us, which I really like:)))). The hotel was offering good cafe for free in the afternoon and had a terrace where you can enjoy your...
Read moreLast week i was stay in Hotel Catalonia Albeniz my roomnumber was 704. My experience with the employees of the hotel is that they are helpful, friendley and welcoming. When you ask them any questions, they have always answers for you. one little pity is that there is not much variation at breakfast this is the only little point. The hygiene is very good. The location of the hotel is verry close by the metro and trainstation about 190 meter from the hotel, and everything is well accessible by public transport, and also cheap with a T10 public ticket the price is € 9.95 and you can used it with two people 5 times, you can buy it by every metro or train stationloket or cardmachine. When i must give them a nomination between 0 and 10 then they get...
