Restaurant Bella Napoli di Raffaele — Restaurant in Barcelona

Originally I was going to rate this place 5/5, as the first time we went there was one of the best meals I've ever had. We ordered the carbonara and the rigatoni + calamari starter.

The starter was good, but not worth €18, especially as the carbonara was the same price. €11-12 would be a much more appropriate price point. The rigatoni with mozzarella and tomato was also extremely delicious.

For this reason, we went back the next day. However this time it was different. We ordered the rigatoni again, and the seafood paccheri. The seafood paccheri was extremely disappointing. Only one (!) large shrimp and 7 paccheri pieces for €24 seems like a robbery. It was also too salty. The rigatoni again was also not nearly as good as the day before, to the point we asked if it was a different chef. If it was only this stay I would give it a 3/5 at best.

Still, both times the service was good and the location was clean and professional. However because of our letdown the second time I'm not sure if we are coming...

Can't speak to the food here because we were ignored and passed over for tables for 20 minutes before giving up and leaving to eat somewhere else. My friend went in to put our names on the list and none of the servers who passed her for the first 10 minutes even looked at her. When the main entrance started getting packed with other people looking to get a table someone finally acknowledged us as he took note of the number of people in each party waiting. We were first in line out of the people waiting without reservations. After waiting another 10 minutes or so the guy called out to every party but ours and seated them. I understand seating parties of certain sizes before others based on table size availability, but he seated a party of the same number of people as us who didn't have a reservation either AND who had come in much later than we did. Really disappointed with the service and sad that we didn't get to...

Booked our table for 8.30 for 4 people and arrived on time. From the outset we were rushed into making our choice from the menu. I had no sooner finished my last mouthful and my fork barely touched the plate before it was whisked away and the next course set in front of me. This was repeated with our second course. My husband ordered coffee and it was immediately placed in front of us along with the bill. We were still drinking our wine when the waiter came over as said are you ready? It was 9.15! Whilst this restaurant may be very popular, the food was average and over priced. We live round the corner from the restaurant and We will not be going back. I have never felt so rushed in a restaurant in my life, it was very rude. My advice? If you want fast food, go to Burger King...
