Can Xurrades is a delightful dining gem tucked away in the heart of Barcelona. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality, setting the stage for a truly remarkable culinary experience. The inviting ambiance and attentive service made us feel right at home.
The menu is a celebration of traditional Catalan cuisine with a modern twist, and every dish we tried was a masterpiece of flavors and textures. The attention to detail and the quality of the ingredients were evident in every bite, showcasing Chef Rafa's passion for his craft.
The highlight of our evening was, without a doubt, the perfectly grilled stake, which was a testament to the chef's expertise and dedication. Each dish was beautifully presented, and it was evident that the kitchen takes great pride in delivering an exceptional dining experience.
The wine selection was superb, offering the perfect accompaniment to our meal, and we were impressed by the knowledge and recommendations of the sommelier.
We would be remiss if we didn't express our gratitude to Chef Rafa and his team for creating such a memorable dining experience. Their talent and dedication shine through in every aspect of the restaurant, and we left Can Xurrades with hearts full of joy and stomachs full of delicious food.

Read moreFabulous steak dinner with family. To start we had the sanfilippo anchovies, which were excellent (they come in a tin) and the trinxat of butifarra sausage, which were both excellent. We also ordered the farmhouse tomato bread which was excellent. the waiter demonstrated how to do it properly, the bread was really good. For main we had 500g of the premium T-bone, 500g of the spectacular T-bone and a 200g tenderloin. They were all excellent. They bring you the meat quite rare but they also bring you a stone grill so you can cook the meat to your liking. The meat, which is from their own farm is absolutely excellent. The only thing missing in the restaurant is a bit of atmosphere. It's a very big room and something just isn't very warm about it, but I would definitely go back because of the quality of the steak. The wine list and service were...
Read moreI experienced many amazing restaurants in Spain (both the pretentious and the unassuming). This restaurant charged twice as much as a Michelin star for a fraction of the value.
Our waiter sulked the entire time and slammed the wine on the table each time he poured it. They were out of several key dishes we wanted to try (and we were the first evening seating). The beef was okay, but not worth the price. The artichoke was over cooked - burnt and bitter on the outside; soggy in the middle. Three different waiters asked us if we were done before we’d finished drinking our wine. (This wouldn’t be as surprising in the US, but it’s deeply offensive for Spain.)
We paid 250 euro for this meal. By contrast, we paid 135 euro for an amazing meal at a one star Michelin earlier that week - and this restaurant has no...
