Andalusian calamari with lime and coriander mayonnaise: very generous portion, quality and fresh fish, not chewy. It is a pity that the lemon is not noticeable in the mayonnaise, only the acidity of the juice and not the aroma and the scent of the peel, the coriander totally absent. 3/5

Croqueta with caramelized onion, goat cheese and walnuts: nice acidity of the cheese, you can smell the aroma of goat's milk, onion a little sacrificed, a Flavour a little too mixed. It would be nice to put well-defined onion separated from the cheese. pieces of whole walnuts present. 3,5/5

Croqueta de pollo curry with manza a y leche de coco: good, present the flavor of curry, coconut and apple. Too sweet, however, and not very balanced. 2,5/5

Croqueta de chistorra with camembert: good strong and defined flavor, recommended. 3,5/5.

Shrimp and garlic croqueta: nice that inside there are pieces of whole shrimp, present but that does not cover the flavor of the shrimp. 3,25/5.

Croqueta xxl: disappointment, undefined tomato, basil and mozzarella flavor. Sweet and unbalanced flavor. 2/5

Croqueta de jamon iberico: definite flavor, not the best I have had in Barcelona, ​​enough. 3/5

Croqueta of brawn and Mahon cheese: the best of those tried, smoky flavor, strong and balanced. 3,5/ 7.

Croqueta of mascarpone and nutella: nice idea but too flat flavor, you really not feel the aroma of mascarpone and that of nutella flavour is very diluted. 2/5

PROS: The coquettes seemed freshly made and were hot and crispy. They had quite a variety of interesting flavors. The chicken parmesan was my favorite.

CONS: The croquettes are tiny! (The pictures don't really give a good size perspective.) They brought me a tiny fork, but I didn't even need it because I could probably fit one or two croquettes in my mouth all at once. Also, they do not have coffee (That's what the waiter told me ! No coffee ) nor tea at their restaurant. 😔 It seemed quite incredible, but he said there was no coffee. I've also read some reviews about having a smiling wait staff, but clearly today was not one of those days. The waiter was not rude, but was not necessarily friendly. He just seemed to be "tolerant." The sad part that kind of ruined the meal was when the waiter went out front through the set of open double doors and smoked right outside of the restaurant. The open doors acted as a wind tunnel and sucked all the smoke into the restaurant and I choked through my food. 🤢 Aside from that, like I said the croquette is were so tiny that I actually left hungry and not impressed with the food to cost ratio (and I'm a small person who typically eats like a bird!)

I love croquettes and it probably would have been my go-to restaurant for the rest of my trip, but it wasn't...

It was almost a week ago since I ordered food from here and I tried to find some explanation to what happened - I really did.

Honestly I would have expected more from a place which is specialized in croquettes.

I have ordered 8 croquettes and a bottle of beer and paid £18 for it. I was thinking, fair enough, based on the pictures and reviews, it could be a reasonable price.

Unfortunately what I got was 8 small pieces of very dark crusted thingy (close to the size of my thumb) and most of them were also really bland.

I am not sure if these were some kind of leftover for the day as I placed my order a bit over 1 hour before closing, but it is not really acceptable.

The portion was small and forgettable. I do hope this was just one mistake and this is not the usual quality. Based on the earlier reviews I had high hopes for this place.

For now, I keep my rating as I can't think of anything about my experience which would make it better, but I hope, I will have the chance to try out this place in person and maybe...
