This place was alright in terms of quality, but for value- definitely come here. First off, there is no outdoor seating so before we came to eat we had to drop off the dog at the apartment. The servers look like they didn't want to be here. There are three different lunch menus but I suggest lunch menu that is 9.70€. The other two menus were more expensive and it did not include a drink or dessert. Let me warn you, they nickel and dime you for everything.
We ordered 2 lunch menus (9.70€ each)
Appetizer: #1 crispy spring rolls - there were only two pieces, the fish sauce wasn't that great but the meat inside was delicious. #9 Wok Fried noodles with chicken for an extra 1.50€. The noodles were very greasy and it actually decent. I don't think they should've charged extra for this dish.
Entree: crispy cuddle fish with salt and pepper for an extra 1.50€. Out of all the dishes, this dish came close to home. The batter was perfectly seasoned and fried.
The second entrée we got was duck with the lemon grass sauce for another extra 1.50€. It was a decent dish - duck wasn't too try but the sauce wasn't super amazing either.
Dessert: cream caramel with cream aka flan and tapioca pearls with coconut milk for an extra 1€. Average at best.
Overall this place is okay. Great value for the amount of food you get but again they charge extra for every little thing. Our server wasn't the best either. I asked her for suggestions and she didn't even seem interested in the...
Read moreThe food was quite good, don't get me wrong. However we felt like something was missing with every dish. We started with fresh spring rolls, which were good, unfortunately the sauce that came with it was almost frozen, so it didn't show all it's flavours. The mini banh mi tasted good, with great tasting pork. unfortunately, given the price (5€), we didn't think is was fair to use "Mercadona" bread there. For the main courses we had two of the noodle bowls, 14€ each. The flavours were there, unfortunately it didn't come with enough sauce to cover all of the rice noodles, leaving them bland and without enough flavour. Again lots of wasted potential. I asked for extra sauce, which they brought for free, but it wasn't the same type and it was also cold.
we went for valentine's day, and for some reason the place was empty. therefore the atmosphere was weird, we felt like people could hear every word we said, there was no music playing either.
overall it was alright, but just that. we paid 45€ in total, with lots of wasted potential. other vietnamese restaurants, even in proximity to this one, convinced me more. for a reduced price i think i could give 4 stars, but like this i feel I need to...
Read moreWe went for the shared plates for 18 EUR each for in total of four persons. The different items itself looked tasty, were nicely arranged, and tasted good. Nothing extra-ordinary, but good, tasty food. The food came timely, in waves, the service was good and attentive. However, the food portion were very disappointing in size. We got served a teeny-tiny bit of food each, no complimentary rice or anything as a side to compensate the big price (double to triple the single dish). It felt like the restaurant tried to rip us off with this since there wasn't much of a difference to the 2 person portion (although spending another 36 EUR). In the end, we went home still hungry with a bill of about 22 EUR for about eight single bites and a beer each.
The place itself looks nice, the food was tasty, and everything was okay- the food portion/ the pricing of the dish was very disappointing though. This really destroyed the whole experience. We...
