The food is tasty enough and that´s about the only good thing I can say about this place.
We went in and had a friend joining us who had a small dog. We asked prior to her arrival were dogs allowed, they said yes as long as its not a massive dog then no problem at all. When my friend arrived the waiter/manager was immediately up at the table telling us repeatedly "the dog has to go right under the table or you have to leave". My friend didn´t even have 1 minute to take her jacket off and sit down so, this really did dampen the mood.
The prices are absolutely extortionate for what you get. The mezalluna burrata was literally 2 bits of thin ravioli with some burrata in the middle and 1 cherry tomato cut in half for 15 euros. We also ordered a pomodoro pasta which was 16 euros...for a tomato pasta. In all honestly I could have made it better myself at a tiny fraction of the price.
The bill came to 90 euros for 4 of us having one dish each, one bottle of the cheapest house wine and sharing some water.
Actually we were still hungry after and went and put a frozen pizza in the oven at home.
I don´t know if its because Beyonce went once or if it is just a tourist trap but the prices are a complete rip off in all honesty. There are many better Italians in Barcelona.
At Bella Italia you pay 25 for massive starter platter, pasta, pizza, desserts and unlimited water and wine... all top quality. I will go there next...
