BEWARE: this place scams tourists!!!

We stopped by here for lunch after our visiting Park Guell. We ordered a 2-person seafood paella and two types of tapas. The food was great, but as soon as we got our bill we realized this place scams tourists. First, they charged us for a 3-person paella instead of 2. When I confronted the waiter, he said that 3 people ate the paella, which was true, but the amount of food ordered was only for two. After some back and forth, he brought a new bill with the correct total amount. This was not the end of the scam. The waiter brings the credit card machine and holds it high enough so that I don't see the amount being charged. He then charges my credit card and gives me a receipt. I look at the receipt and realize that the amount charged is 4 EUR more than what's on the bill. Moreover, he charges us in USD with a high currency exchange rate (gives him additions 4-5 EUR). After some serious complains, he gave us 7 EUR back and offered a drink. This is a perfect example how a restaurant's staff greed can turn a restaurant experience from 5 to 1 stars. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the pizza (I think it was Caprese). They put too much salt in the dish with squids though. There's no bar-menu, at least they didn't give it to us. Therefore we didn't know the prices of the drinks, and they are a tiny bit expensive. But the drinks were good as well. Piña colada had I think just about one drop of rum, although it was supposed to be alcoholic. And the sangria (on cava) was just perfect! No kids chair there. The staff don't speak English, but they try to. And they are friendly...

Great place with excellent service, and delicious tapas and sangria. We sat outside and had lunch with our two young children and there was plenty on the menu that they enjoyed, including the patatas bravas and croquettes, while we really enjoyed the squid. Staff were friendly and playful with the kids and as we were leaving called us inside for a free shot of a local spirit to send us on our way - great service, great food and great drink. Highly...
