Its name means " Plaza of the Pine" due to the tree that grows on the plaza. This scenic little square is located in the Gothic Quarter in front of the Basilica of Santa Maria del Pi. Very cute space with restaurants and cafes all around. It is however dominated by the façade of the gothic basilica and the eponymous pine tree. A little out of the way but very much worth the walk.

A wonderful little plaza in the Barri Gotic surrounded by cafes , tapa bars and small restaraunts and dominated by the imposing facade of the Basilica itself , worth an hour or two to relax away from the tourist excesses and even better if you arrive at the same time as the artisanal food market every first and third Friday to Sunday of every month.
