Loras Bar — Restaurant in Barcelona

Loras tapas bar in Poblenou. This is another hidden gem in Barcelona, in the Pablenou neighborhood. We were staying in that area on business. The restaurant is brand new. It used to have a different name however a collection of former employees purchased it and turned it into this amazing little corner local tapas gem. We went to this great little place at least three times, for dinner, for snacks, for a quick afternoon vermouth, a quick afternoon aperol spritz. Just generally because it’s local and great. We made fast friends with one of the owners who goes by Fran. he is a young and cool guy who took care of us at least twice possibly a third time I’m not certain, all the servers there are Young and hip and the chef and some of the servers actually owned the establishment. The menu was small, because they just started out, but the food is fantastic. One night for dinner, we had the pork belly on grilled leeks, and the slowly stewed oxtail on potatoes. One afternoon we swung by for their afternoon snack of two Apperal, spritzer’s, and Patata, brava For €15. Fabulous quick and delicious. They are so friendly here and they’re very interested in keeping the local clientele happy, as it really is a local establishment. Lora’s Bar in Barcelona is an absolute gem! From the moment we sat down, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The food was delicious — every dish was packed with flavor, and the broccolini in particular was out of this world. Perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned.

The champagne sangrias were flowing and added that perfect sparkle to our evening. Everything was very reasonably priced, especially for the quality and care that goes into each plate.

A special shoutout to Franco, our waiter and one of the owners — he truly made the experience unforgettable. His lovely spirit, kindness, and genuine warmth were so appreciated. He really made us feel at home.
