Masaniello – Nicht-Pizzaria — Restaurant in Barcelona

We visit this restaurant regularly. It’s one of our favorite places in the Sants district. But today, when we came here, the waitress (a girl with long dark hair and a ponytail) said that we couldn’t sit outside in the more comfortable area because they have seats for 2 persons where we should sit. However, at the same time, two other people were sitting in this area where they have tables with 4 chairs. After us, another couple sat in this area as well.

The pizza is nice, but the service is awful. We didn’t ask for anything special. Funny fact, the tables were still empty when we left the restaurant.

Additionally, this waitress asked me if I was writing a review. She even checked my phone when I was holding it. That’s so weird. I hope they find a way to teach their waitstaff what...

In Barcelona to watch my son participate in a tournament, came to pick up a pizza and tried to pay with a 50 euro bill and was accused of trying to pay with fake money. I tried to then pay with a 10 and a 5 bill that was given to me as change locally, and again he said my money was fake. Then he asked me if I was Colombian and if I was with "the Colombian guy.". The restaurant is utterly dirty, there are dead bugs on the floor, and the tables are sticky.

The waiters kept pushing my chair with their butts while walking behind me, even though I moved it as close to my table as I could to give them space. Also when serving us, 2 of them hit me, one of them leaned on me, ond the other threw the dish on top of my glass almost knocking it over.

The overall experience was not great, I was uncomfortable the whole time.
