It doesn’t even deserve 1 star- wish there was an option for a 0 We booked the restaurant in advance to celebrate our friends birthday dinner - the restaurant apparently provides a bottle of cava, birthday cake and a free consumption for a birthday girl - none of that was provided But that is not the major issue - the resta made us wait for 2 hours to get the food - some of us had ceviche ordered which arrived last, and 1/3 had to cancel and leave since it was nearly 11pm. Don’t get me wrong - cutting some tune and avocados CANNOT take 2 hours. Imagine waiting for 2 hours to receive extremely over-salted dish - a scandal! Every time we followed up with the waiter, we were never offered an explanation, courtesy or discount - they always said the food is almost ready. For an hour. When we tried to address the issue the staff was simply rude as if it was our fault they can’t manage 3 reservations, claiming the food took longer because they received glovo order and that that’s a priority because otherwise they’d complain - clearly our concerns weren’t close to be prioritised A few people from the group left the comments but the restaurants response is nothing but “thanks for letting us know” - is this a prime restaurant in an upscale hotel? Avoid at all costs, as there are SO many places that offer Peruvian fusion, so save yourself some time, energy and hard-earned money (22€ ceviche...

I recently dined at Nikkei 103 in Barcelona and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The restaurant offers a unique blend of Japanese and Peruvian cuisines, creating a delightful fusion that excites the palate.

From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting and stylish, with a modern decor that still felt warm and welcoming. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent service throughout the evening.

The menu is a culinary adventure, featuring an array of innovative dishes. I started with the Arepas which was incredibly fresh and bursting with flavors. The sushi rolls were beautifully presented and tasted just as good as they looked.

In addition to the food, the cocktails were expertly crafted and complemented the dishes perfectly. The Pisco Sour, in particular, was a standout.

Overall, Nikkei 103 is a must-visit for anyone in Barcelona looking to enjoy a memorable dining experience. The fusion of Japanese and Peruvian flavors is executed flawlessly, making it a true culinary gem...

We had a big group event in this restaurant that seemed to collapse the service of the place entirely. The staff were visibly inexperienced, slow and unorganized, the waiters would serve tables randomly, leaving people without food or drinks to watch people across the table eat and drink. As an example I asked for beers for myself and my partner three times since arriving, once at the bar, and was always told "someone would come to the table to get our order" - no one ever came and we had to get really upset to finally get two small "cañas". Meanwhile in a table further away people were on their third round of drinks. Also the air got very warm very fast and the aircon was only put on for about 10 minutes. The rest of the time we just sweated. I figured if I didn't get beer I would certainly not get them to put the AC on either...Cannot comment on their food, as we had a special menu for the event. The venue itself looks beautiful and tasteful, too bad about the bad experience with the service, as I won't...

Unfortunately, I was not very satisfied with this restaurant. We had wanted to try it for a while and finally managed to book it during the week around lunchtime with a discount, so we decided to give it a shot. When we arrived, it took about 10 minutes to get our menus. The appetizers (arepa nikkei) were really good, but they were served without plates, so we couldn’t eat them at the same time. For the main dish, we had lomo saltado. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either, and the rice was dry, like it had been made hours earlier. We had to send it back and ask for a new one. The octopus huancaína wasn't worth repeating either. When I asked for the bill, they forgot to apply the discount that came with my reservation, i had to tell them to apply it and bring me the new bill with the correct amount. The prices are quite high for the quality and amount of food and service. In my opinion, there are better Peruvian restaurants in Barcelona. Unfortunately, I have to say that I wouldn't go back.

3.5 rounded down to 3 We went there for lunch. Since it was a weekday we opted for the menu del dia which was 16.90€. I ordered the uramaki volcan as an entree, and I absolutely loved the dish. The sushi was amazing and the sauce on top added an extra zing. I think this set the bar high and I was disappointed with the rest of the food. I asked for the "arroz chaufa con pollo" as my main. The chicken was a bit dry and the fried rice was decent but nothing spectacular. Similar feelings for the tiramisu, it was okay but nothing special. They had run out of the mochi and the other dessert on offer was a strawberry mousse tart, which was also quite average. The service was great albeit a bit slow. The quantity of the food was great and we had enough time to enjoy our meal. The ambience was location of the restaurant was also nice. Overall, I might come back to try the other sushi offerings but it won't be a priority.
