Would give 0 stars or worse if possible. After waiting for a table outside, me and my friend waited around 15 for the waiter to clear our table from the previous diners. Once he had cleared the table we had said we were ready to order but he said to give him 2 mins, which was fine but this turned into a further 15mins. We only wanted something small so we ordered croquettes, a warm salad and one beer. However, after the order was taken it took a further 25/30 mins for the salad to arrive and we later cancelled the croquettes due to the waiting time, especially after seeing the next table being served two plates of it. Asking for the cheque also took extremely long and we got fed up and walked inside to pay. Understandable that it was busy but from obvious observation the waiter had been avoiding our table due to us being international visitors, whereas all the others were locals. In the end we got slices of pizza next door for €2 that took 2 min and was delicious! 1000% do not recommend this particular restaurant in...
Read moreQuality of the food is quite good, and the servers are friendly enough. I give two stars because the last few times I've gone the kitchen has been unable to bring everyone's meals at around the same time. This past Thursday I went for lunch with two friends and we were seated quite promptly, despite the crowds. The server was also quite attentive and made sure we had drinks and that our food order went to the kitchen. So far, so good--as with my other experiences. About five minutes later, my two friends received their meals. I continued to wait, as did they. After 6-7 minutes, I told my companions to begin their meals, as fried eggs are lousy cold. Finally my dish arrived, about 15 minutes after my friends. So essentially we got to watch each other eat lunch. Tldr: good quality food, friendly servers, kitchen a hot...
Read moreThis place in the charming neighbourhood of Gràcia, Barcelona, was recommended to me by a local friend as one of the best places for Catalan cuisine. So, when I arrived I was happy to wait in the bar with a Black Martini until the outside tables were set for dinner... Great service, great food and wine, including possibly the BEST spinach fitters I have ever tasted! The waiter recommended that just 2 tapas would be sufficient for a 'meal' but I wanted to try more, so went for the Gazpacho, Jamon croquettes, and the Spinach Fritters (mentioned) with Honey-laced Aioli... Though they regularly change their menu, apparently locals don't let them take the Spinach Fritters off the menu and I understand why! I would go back here on my next visit to Barcelona to try more...
