Worth the walk or taxi ride! This place was delightful! A well curated wine list, excellent service; you can taste the passion and talent in each of the dishes we tried. The menu was available in multiple languages and our server was also the owner. His passion for the dishes was easy to see. He answered all of our questions and described each dish with great detail. The ambiance was bright and the tables were filled with locals. Everything was clean and well presented. The dining room is open and the kitchen can be seen from the dining area. We enjoyed the patatas fritas, goats cheese and mató empanadas, pork cheek rigatoni, prawn and crab ravioli, spinach ravioli, cheesecake, panna cotta and flambé French toast. Everything we ordered was delicious, well thought out a balanced. The patatas dish were crispy and pillowy and seasoned to perfection. The goats cheese and mató empanadas with the pepper jam were the perfect ratio of dough to filling. All of our pasta dishes were perfectly seasoned and the texture of the sauces and pasta were just right. Our desserts were lovely! I had a great dinner at Emocionar. I chose it for their interesting menu, offering different options of fish, meat, pastas, and classic Spanish tapas. I loved the ambiance, intimate and elegant. Kitchen staff was attentive and caring. My leeks were truly well presented - fine dining style. The only picky comment from my side goes on the salt, as there was a bit too much. But the dish, presenting also apricot jelly and hazelnuts was original. The meloso of veal with truffled parmentier potatoes was to die for. I loved the truffle taste, rich but still not covering the meat, as tender as butter. Relaxed, laid back & welcoming environment. A good choice of varied foods with very knowledgeable and friendly service team. We ordered chef special artichoke hearts, patatos bravais, duck bao buns and spinach Cannelloni with cheesy sauce. All the food was delicious, the artichoke was deep fried in an amazing sauce, patoto bravos was crispy, herby and spicy… perfect. The pasta was perfect, with plenty of filling and the sauce was heavenly. Finally the bao buns… the duck was cooked perfectly and the bun was authentic. For desert we had chocolate and hazelnut desert was rich, creamy and portioned well.
