Good flavors, but execution and service communication could be better.
The pizza here had good fundamentals, the dough had nice flavor, the ingredients were fresh, and the overall taste was solid. However, my experience was a bit mixed.
I specifically asked for a thicker Neapolitan-style crust, but what I received was thin. To be fair, this might have been due to the restaurant being busy or simply a language barrier with the service, but it was still a disappointment since crust style makes a big difference in the experience.
Another issue was the toppings. As you can see, most of them were concentrated in the center, leaving the edges rather bare. This made the pizza feel unbalanced. On top of that, the middle was very wet, which made it difficult to eat without collapsing. I suspect this came from the tuna releasing moisture and the briny olives adding extra liquid on top of the tomato base. A little more care with distribution and draining would go a long way.
Overall, it was a tasty pizza, but the details and communication could have been handled better. With some adjustments, this place could easily serve excellent pizzas, just not quite there for me...
Read moreAny restaurant can make or break one’s experience. This place sets the bar high…hands down! Day #1…got in late but found this gem after a short search near our hotel. From the second we walked in, Alex greeted us with a fun, warm welcome. Thankfully, they had a table open and we were able to be seated right away…which was nice because it was already packed. It was apparent the staff all worked together. During the course of the night, Roger and Simone also served us. Alex even took a short break and sat down to talk to us! Food was unreal. Both had the pizza (salad too), and each got a dessert. Tiramisu was my absolute favorite! Anyway, after Brenda cashed us out, we said we’d be back before we headed back home. A week later, we chose to eat here again to close out our trip. When we walked in, Alex immediately recognized us and practically shouted out our names welcoming us just like he did 6 days prior! All other dining experiences weren’t the same. It is so easy to tell everyone there loves what they do, and it shows! This place was definitely the highlight of our trip…food wise. You guys are awesome and hope to...
Read moreI was visiting Barcelona from America for about a week, and after a day out me and my friend decided to go get pizza. We needed a gluten free option as he doesn’t eat gluten and he randomly chose Eden, and what splendid surprise it was! We were greeted so warmly and lovingly, sat down immediately and had the best time. It’s such a lovely atmosphere and the staff is amazing and attentive. Vanessa is an absolute gift of a person. She is kind as sweet and bubbly and lovely. She saw me taking a picture of my food and asked me to tag the restaurant which I obviously had already done because everyone needs to know about this place. And that’s not even mentioning the food!!! The food was amazing. Hand made dough great flavors and options. My friend who got the gluten free pizza enjoyed it a lot as did I (and I usually stay FAR away from gluten free pizza). However, everything they do seems to be perfect. Maybe that’s why it’s called Eden. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I would travel from America back to Barcelona JUST to visit this eden. Whenever and wherever you are in Barcelona, this...
