Room was exactly as images, very comfortable and clean, was offered the option to upgraded our room for a small fee of 10 euros per day from an internal window view to one with a small balcony. Which was a great decision because we could get some natural air and people watch. Room had all the basic necessities apart from facial tissues (maybe not a thing in europe), shower only no bath but very spacious, wouldve been great if they added a shelf for shower items, mini fridge isnt very cold but still does keeps items chilled well over time. staff were all friendly, did not try their F&B but theres a cute rooftop bar and a small swimming pool. Crazy hot in summer tho, and because spain limits air conditioning in public areas, the lobby and tiny lifts can get a little stuffy and warm. Location is fab, metro station 2 mins away but not the most ideal to take public transport with big luggage cause of the cobblestones and generally europe metro doesnt have lifts or escalators. Bus stops are also near by very easy to get around from Occidental and theres so many great restaurants around the area which are all walking distance!! Did not really need to take much public transport tbh, its walkable to every where, bought a 10 trip bus/train ticket to use over 3.5 days but we only used 5 trips. Reminder to make restaurant reservations however because all the restaurants do get busy during peak hours. Also reminder to get tickets to major attractions a few days in advance as they sell out very fast. It wouldve been helpful if the reception had advised us upon check in knowing as how it is but as tourists we wouldnt have known. Great...
Read moreWhere to start...I ve booked an 8 days room and they sent an email saying if I wanted to arrive an hour early as requested i ll have to pay 22euros...allready a bad customer start...the hôtel is brand New, but beware everytime a train from the métro will pass by you ll hear it and the whole building is trembling...for someone who s sensible its horrible ! The hôtel does not provide any amenities in room, you have to ask for everything, cotton bud, extra soap, anything...kinda bad for a 4 stars superior as they say! No minibar, no room service...covid excuses, well any other hôtel provide it, they are just using this as an excuse because they are under staffed, again 4 stars sup and no services, the breakfast is very poor, quality does not meet the standard criteria of a 4 stars. No expresso machine in room , just a vulgar boiler (back to the 90's)for a mordern hotel its pretty low...we asked to change room as there is a building in construction attached to the hotel and at 8 am they ll make noises...we ve waited 2 days with no one coming up to us, and at the check out we ve been told thats its our fault as we didnt go back there, problem they told us that they ll get back to us...talking about check out the woman on duty this day (manager) was pretty rude, no customer service skill at all, we left four days prior our final stay as this hôtel is a full joke, she did not even bother to ask why we would live earlier, she just throw us out...pretty poor service only good point the cleaning ladys are super smiley and really the room...

Otherwise this is probably one of my least favourite hotel stays for the price. When we checked in we were offered an upgrade to deluxe room for 15€ more. They were quite pushy and said feel free to come down at any time if you want to upgrade. Suspicious arose.
We were put into a room on the 4th floor. It was dark, cold and no view. The room was small but clean enough. The main issue was the bathroom! The sink was in the main room, and the toilet cubicle was seperate to the sink and the shower. I felt like i was in a public toilet. Super unhygienic and weird.
Immediately we went downstairs and asked regarding the upgrade. We were told the room would be bigger but layout is the same ie toilet shower and sink all in separate rooms. Alternatively we could upgrade to a suite for an extra 50€ per night. Felt this wasn’t fair but luckily one of the receptionists guided us to a superior room which had a normal functioning bathroom!
Had to pay extra fees for a late check out even though our flight was delayed due to the black out. I appreciate this isn’t the hotels fault but would have been a nice gesture.
Overall extremely over priced for what it was and wouldn’t...
