Bella Venezia – A Charming Italian Spot in the Heart of Barcelona
I had a lovely dining experience at Bella Venezia, a cozy Italian restaurant conveniently located near some of Barcelona’s most beautiful streets, just a short walk from Casa Milà and Passeig de Gràcia.
The menu offers a wide range of Italian classics — from fresh antipasti and pasta to pizzas and seafood dishes. I tried the Insalata Caprese, which was beautifully presented and bursting with fresh flavors: perfectly ripe tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, fragrant pesto, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze over a bed of fresh arugula.
The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with a friendly host who made us feel at ease without being overly familiar. The service was efficient, and the food arrived promptly, which made the evening even more enjoyable.
Prices are reasonable for the quality and location, and the variety on the menu means there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re in the mood for a light salad, a hearty pasta, or a classic pizza, Bella Venezia is a solid choice if you want an authentic Italian taste in the heart of Barcelona.

Read moreMy fiend and I dined here last night. A bit shocked that this place is praised this much. My pasta pomodoro had no taste at all and it had a jared, pre-made, sore bought tomato hint to it. Asked to change it as it as i did try to eat it but it was not an easy task. Owner changed it with a margherita. While it tasted good, it ruined my stomach.
My friend had the carbonara and got very sick during the night and in the morning. The carbonara was too full of fat and hard to eat.
We also had desert which was decent enough but we had higher expectations, especially for the tiramisu.
I would not go there again. I would be a bit concerned about how old their products are and if I will potentially get food poisoning as my friend.
Sorry, i know the staff have been lovely, but a restaurant is not built on good...

My family and I had a fantastic meal at this charming little Italian restaurant.
We tried several dishes, and each one was outstanding. The carbonara was rich and creamy, made the traditional Roman way with no shortcuts – just pure flavor. The bolognese was hearty and full of depth, with tender meat and a beautifully balanced sauce. And the pizza? Absolutely delicious – thin, crisp crust, fresh toppings, and that perfect hint of wood-fired smokiness.
It’s clear that this place takes pride in using quality ingredients and staying true to Italian tradition. We left full, happy, and already talking about our next visit. Highly recommended for anyone who loves real...
