Confirm your oder in Spanish if you are using the English menu!!!

We use the restaurant’s own English menu to order our food. When we made our order, we pointed the name of the food on the menu, after ordering it we confirmed our order with the owner again, and when he served the food, I felt the food was not right so I asked him again before I took a bite, he kept on saying yes and telling me that was the dish.

After I took a bite i realized the food was not the one I ordered. I have to compare the dish name from the English menu and Spanish menu, showed the owner the Spanish name of the dish, and he finally realized that he put the wrong order.

After I requested, he put the order again( he was not planning to do that originally). I sent the food back to kitchen and felt sorry for him so I was planning to pay for both of dishes although I nearly touch the wrong dish. However, when I got the bill I figured that the owner already charged me for the returned item on top of the other dishes we ordered.

I don’t think what he did is ethical but I don’t want to ruin my day by arguing with him. Moreover I already planning to pay for it so I paid what I was planning to pay.

Just want to give a heads up for whoever want to order from English menu: get a Spanish menu as well and confirm your order with owner in Spanish...

Nice environment.... Nice people .. just next to tourist location park guelle. And good food. The lamb chops is must try. The omelette is ok... But at least they fry it golden brown.. I been eating like water boiled eggs for the past few days. Kind of disappointed at the snails... I thought it would be something real special... But I ate 2 plates of the lamb...

The price is very reasonable... Except for garlic mayo. That cost $2 euros. Which I think is also ok... The tomato bread.. is huge...

If u r a tourist and sick of tapas and paella. Drop by here . Chili and relax.

Would had give 5* , if not for the weird operating hours... Hahaha...... Seems to just open like 2 hours in noon and 2...

La primera vez que acudí a este restaurante fue en el año 2000. Siempre lo he recomendado a mis amigos y familiares, donde hay mejores cargols a la llauna de Barcelona , ademas la carne a la brasa y las alcachofas los hacen súper ricos. Pero desde hace un año o algo más , después del COVID , tienen un horario irregular , incluso hubo un tiempo que permaneció cerrado varios meses… tras varios intentos , volvimos a encontrarlos abierto hoy , todo siguen igual, hasta los camareros ! Pero acabe con un disgusto la experiencia de hoy por una tontería , pedí comida para llevar a parte de la consumición en el mismo restaurante, para que mi familia pueda saborear los caracoles y codornices, les pedí también alioli porque la carne estaban un poco sosos y secos, pero me dijeron de que no quedaba, a pesar de que deje suficiente propina como pagar la ración de alioli y más . Teniendo ante mis ojos 3 raciones de alioli expuestas en la cocina , tras mi queja, me dijo el camarero de que es un producto muy delicado y no se puede llevarlo a casa ya que necesita frío , les dije que solo tardo 15min en llegar a casa , además , las que me pusieron y las 3 tarros de alioli expuestas en la cocina no están guardadas en frío . Me sentí ofendida por este hecho. El pobre camarero no tiene culpa, es por la normativa del restaurante de que los aliolis no se puede comprar para llevar !!! Reclame mi cambio y nos fuimos con un disgusto en la garganta , 3 personas gastamos 140e en una comida que salimos con angustias … no sé … a lo mejor soy yo la...
