If you’re exploring Park GĂŒell and want a great local restaurant nearby, El Mirador is a hidden gem worth finding. The food is spot-on fresh, flavorful, and genuinely Spanish.

Their Pulpo Gallego a la Plancha (Grilled Octopus), Butifarra de PagĂšs (Catalan Sausage), and Pluma IbĂ©rica con GuarniciĂłn (Iberian Pork) are absolute standouts. The Croquetas de JamĂłn IbĂ©rico and Calamares Andaluza are also crowd favorites perfectly cooked and seasoned. For dessert, don’t skip the Coulant de Chocolate con Helado or the Tarta de Queso con ArĂĄndanos — both are exceptional.

A big shout-out to Ali, our waiter, whose service made the entire experience special. He was attentive, professional, and genuinely kind one of the best we’ve had in Barcelona.

Tip: Check their opening hours before visiting, as they don’t open daily or on a fixed schedule. It’s absolutely worth planning your stop great food, great service, and a truly...

A beautiful location surrounded by trees and an urban park environment from where to see the city of Barcelona spreading out from the sea front up to the hills where the mirador is located. You get an interesting, unexpected view of the city in its full dimension, from tbe east to the west. Its normally quite crowded with tourists and exchange programme students but also many locals and visitors from outside Barcelona. It would be nice that visiting crowds, especially of rowdy young people, would remember to behave in a decent manner and avoid spreading beer cans and all kinds of junk food wrappings all around the place, as well as as understanding that they're not the only ones visiting the place and should keep a low and composed posture not to disturb locals and other visitors. We've been here several times amidst those crowds and the atmosphere was similar to a...

I went here with my boyfriend who had something seriously wrong with his beer. We sat and had one beer and some tapas here and decided to order a second drink. After he drank a few sips of his second beer he started feeling very weird and oddly drunk. He has quite a strong tolerance so to be feeling so drunk especially after eating a full meal is bizarre. We asked the staff about it and did not get any answers, which may have been due to language barrier. It’s possible it was spiked by someone who was not working behind the bar, but bottom line is we were served something which was definitely not just beer. Very strange...

Awesome tapas and even better service. Ali, our waiter, was amazing. His recommendations were spot on. The atmosphere was authentically local and very lively. Even though we were tourists, Ali treated us like regulars and we felt very welcome; especially when we noticed the dishes we were having were being served at all the tables around us. Speaking of the dishes, each was great but the grilled calamari was the standout for us. Skip the tourist trap at the exit of Park Gruell and walk an extra 5 minutes to El Mirador. You’ll be happy you did!!

Delicious food! Authentic, full of locals. Every one eating a lot. We tasted many different dishes and all were super tasty. Also portions big and prices very affordable. Service was very kind and friendly. They didn't speak English really, just very basic and Spanish but were nice and genuinely lovely. Feels like eating in a family restaurant. Worth visiting after seeing beautiful Parc Guell.
