Scapar was an absolutely phenomenal experience from start to finish.

After entering through an opening in the curtains, I instantly felt transported to Japan. The setting was serene and zen, and we were able to truly relax and appreciate this culinary journey.

We enjoyed the 17 course menu, along with a divine sake pairing. The flavours, quality and composition of each dish was exceptional, and left us wanting more.

It’s obvious that Chef Kouichi-san has built an incredible team with exceptional passion, skills and knowledge. They are all true masters at their art. The team’s charm is infectious and we felt that special feeling, like being surrounded by close friends.

お店に足を踏み入れた瞬間、そこはもう別世界でした。空気と時間の流れ方がまるで別の次元にあるようでした。

ゲストとして五感を研ぎ澄ませ、丁寧に仕込まれた食材が美しく盛り付けられ、完成していく過程をじっくりと楽しみました。出される料理はどれも緻密に計算されており、次の料理への橋渡しも非常によく考えられていると感じました。これまで沢山のレストランで様々なものを食べてきましたが、調理方法もプレゼンテーションも、これまでに経験したことのない全く新しい食体験に心から驚きました。

店内は、あるべきものがそこにある、という本質的なデザインで、過剰なものはすべて削ぎ落とされていました。そのおかげで約2時間にわたり一皿一皿を、空間、香り、そして音まで含め、五感で感じ取るという、本当に貴重な経験となりました。

そして、シェフから、私達の予約の数時間前にレストランがミシュランガイドに掲載されたと伺い大変感激しました！シェフにとっても特別な日にこのレストランを訪れることができ、大変光栄でした。

(English) Stepping into this restaurant felt like entering another world; the atmosphere and flow of time were on a completely different dimension.

As guests, we sharpened our five senses, thoroughly enjoying watching the meticulously prepared ingredients being beautifully plated and perfected before our eyes. Every dish served was meticulously calculated, with thoughtful transitions leading to the next course. Having dined at countless restaurants, I was surprised by a culinary experience unlike any I've had before, both in its preparation and presentation.

The interior design embodies pure essentialism – only what needs to be there exists, with all excess stripped away. This allowed for a truly precious experience over about two hours, where we engaged all our senses with each dish, the space, the aromas, and even the sounds.

One of the most innovative yet delicious restaurants in Barcelona! I haven’t been this happily surprised in several years. It is a Japanese restaurant fused with Spanish produce and sometimes takes on Spanish dishes but not in a flashy sought way. Very pleasant, beautiful and delicious dishes. Quite unique and one of the few places I will add to the restaurant I annually will visit in Barcelona (together with for example Gresca and Disfrutar)....
