ILUZIONE Turó — Restaurant in Barcelona

This place couldn't have been any more perfect. I don't have anything more to say - wine was delicious, every single member of staff was lovely, ambience was magical.

I recommend reserving a spot, and I also recommend ordering the chef's special for the day. My boyfriend and I each ordered one of the 2 daily specials and neither of them disappointing. This was some of the best Italian food I have ever had by a landslide.

The penne was cooked with sage in the dish and was such a surprising and exciting blend of flavors. My boyfriend and I each ended up falling in love with the other's dishes and traded plates half through because we just couldn't get over how delicious everything was.

When they brought the burrata, the tomatoes were in a cocktail shaker with the dressing for the salad and he shook it at our table before laying it onto the greens. A delectable array of fresh tomatoes is always a weakness of mine.

I went lunch with my mom and brother, after we read the good reviews of the place, and couldn't be happier about it , we ate rocket tomato salad with burrata, tuna carpaccio, fresh pasta truffle carbonara, home made ravioli and ngochis, couldn't have asked for more every single dish was prepared with love and style, bringing the flavours of Italian home cooked cusine with a unique style, the venue have really cool decoration and romantic private ambiance, plus a cool design shop next door. The owner of the place a lovely lady made sure that we where enjoying our food, and Gianfranco the Italian chef came to make sure we where having a great time and explain us his story, on top of that the homemade tiramisu was amazing. Good food, but the waitress's service leaves much to be desired. We arrived at 8pm sharp and they hadn't opened yet. We had to wait outside and they didn't even offer us a seat on the terrace. When the waitress arrived she was in a hurry and pressuring us to take our food order, when we didn't even have 2 minutes to look at the menu. We had to tell her to give us a little time and space to decide (I've never had to do that in any restaurant). We had to call another waiter to offer us something to drink. The waitress didn't serve us again, despite calling her several times. The temperature inside the restaurant was very hot. The food was very good and highly recommended. But the service was 1 star.
