I had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful Catalan restaurant, and it truly exceeded my expectations. From the warm atmosphere to the friendly service, everything here invites you to relax and enjoy every bite.
We started with a fresh salad with cod and tomato, light and perfectly balanced with that Mediterranean touch. Then came the fried squid with Padrón peppers, crispy on the outside and tender inside, the kind of dish that disappears from the plate in seconds.
For the main courses, we tried two types of rice: the black rice with seafood and mussels, rich in sea flavor and cooked to perfection, and a seafood arroz caldoso, deeply aromatic and full of comforting, homemade flavor. Both dishes showcased the care and tradition behind every recipe.
To finish, we couldn’t resist the desserts. The traditional crema catalana was creamy, with just the right amount of caramelized sugar on top, and the profiteroles with whipped cream and chocolate were the perfect sweet ending.
Everything was accompanied by toasted bread with tomato, a true Catalan classic. If you’re looking for an authentic, homemade taste of Catalonia with generous portions and honest flavors, this place is a must. Highly...
Read moreThe value for money could have been great here however the service was really really bad. We struggled to order drinks when we arrived, even though we had a booked table and an area specifically for us. They said they’d come to the table, but we had to ask multiple times as they didn’t come. The calcots arrived and weren’t very warm, the same could be said for the main course meat. We didn’t get coffees as they didn’t have enough cups for us, this was a shame as I believe it was included in the menu price. Crema Catalana dessert was served on a plate and looked very rushed and unappetising. Overall there’s a lot of room for improvement with service and timings and then it...
Read moreLoads of food very reasonably priced.
Been here for a party dinner for 40 people. More food than you could possibly eat. Plenty of drink as well. Surprisingly enough, when the bill came they didn’t add loads of extra as as it happens in many other places when you do a large dinner.
I will definitely repeat. It’s not fancy but it’s perfect if you want to have a good time.
The place is also very beautiful. There’s a terrace out in the street on a very quiet street where we had some drinks before we went in for dinner. They also have a beautiful terrace with a lovely fountain. Inside there’s a “masía” which is a traditional Catalan farm house. It’s definitely...
