Where to start? I suppose at the beginning.. sigh.

OK Starters. Garlic mushrooms - Tinned mushrooms in a garlic sauce . thats it. Spaghetti bolognese- Bland but ok portion size . pate with bread - tasteless pate with melba toast?? Prawn cocktail - 5 prawns and a but of salad

Onto the mains! Steak with peppercorn sauce with chips and salad - You know when you have a microwave beef dinner? chewy steak and bland ? thats this . wafer thin , with 10 chips and a big of salad . Terrible.

Mixed grill - Same affair , thinnest pieces possible , with a poor overdone pigs in blankets. oh and 10 chips and some salad .

Sole (fish) with chips and salas . The sold was thin and not seasoned . 10 chips with a bit of salad .

and finally ! Deserts! Apple crumble - imagine the width of your butter knife on its side , and thats the amount of crumble you will get, with a bit of squirty creame . tastes ok.

Ice cream. A blob of ice cream about the size of a large conker, and 2 squirts of squirty cream to make it look larger . pants .

Creme caramel. Tasted good, but very little of it.

Waiter service was decent. House wine was fine .

Atmosphere ok.

I would say avoid this place , unless your partial nhs...

This is brilliant restaurant amongst the many other good ones in Bonanza Square. Friendly and hospitable service alongside very nice food and drink, which is of good quality and at a very reasonable price. The Menu of The Day is outstanding value for money and there is no compromise on the quality of the choices offered. All three courses were cooked/prepared superbly and the quantities not skimpy. This set menu has plenty of choice (see the photo) and has a drink included, which again you can choose from. We went for the wine and both the red and the white were pleasant and complimented our food choices. Definitely will visit here again and very happy to recommend this lovely restaurant and praise the people who own/run/cook here - Sometimes it's hard to stand out when there are so many other food choices available, but they did. I do not recommend!! Food was bland tasteless and under cooked. Woke up in the night with horrible pains in the stomach not just myself but the 3 people I was also with! Price for it all was also shocking over a £100 euros for 2 set menus a chicken salad and a pizza oh and €27.00 for 2 small jd and cokes!! When I went and spoke to the manager/owner regarding the price of the jd and coke I was abruptly told the he was a restaurant and not bar and shrugged his shoulders at me (another customer came in an also stated how ridiculous the price was for 2 drinks) I have been coming to benalmadena for 16 years and frequently dine in the square (restaurants and bars) and have never in my life paid €27.00 for 2 drinks €7.00 per jd and coke at the most!
