So I really wanted this to be a good experience why? a couple of things... My sister who just gave birth was craving for sushi. She told me that they usually order sushi here at a Chinese place! and of course me coming from Hawaii and was just in Japan a month ago said "we need to get it at a Japanese place” I'm a big foodie and I usually research the restaurant prior to going. And I thought I did that for this place. Since they have a baby we ordered a to go or for take out which was easy because they were 8 min away from this place. Unfortunately the sushi that we had seemed to have old fish... I live in Hawaii so I know my fish. The tuna was dark and was sort of dry and was just old I could tell. The salmon roll was seared..The taste was very fishy.. old fish. had some upset stomach but not bad. I don't really write a lot of reviews but for this case I had to. I saw the other reviews... is this just a fluke? It was such a waste... 100 Euros and food was bad. And what’s the weird thing about it is the sushi at the Chinese place was better. nothing extra ordinary to talk about but it was better. good service but man! not a good...
Read moreI really felt like I needed to post this review even though I rarely comment on google.. But this place is honestly one of the worst japanese restaurants I have ever been to. Firstly, the decoration and ambiance looks spectacular in the pictures, and once you get there you are hit with a complete different feel. The place looks small and decorated cheaply to give a sort of Luxury sensation but it does not do a good job. Secondly, they put Mayonnaise on literally every single dish! Even a basic starter like Edamme beans came in a bowl absolutely smuthered with mayonnaise. I could not believe my eyes. Who makes these decisions and how are these people in charge? They have no idea what good Japanese cuisine is. Thirdly the price for the food is astronomical and is not worth your time. I have never been so disappointed in a Japanese restaurant in my entire life. Me and my girlfriend will be staying away from this place, I honestly feel like I’ve...
Read moreMixed feelings, felt ripped off. We took two tasting menues, 100 euros for 2 persons. Cant say it was bad, the dessert and rolls were pretty good. But quantities? Products? And price? I am a girl and I do not eat a lot. I was hungry when i left the place, never happened to me before. First entry is edamam, cheap and standard, not worth to be in tasting menu. Second starter is 6 small gyozas for two. Main dish: 3 sets of 8 tiny thin rolls for two. Dessert: one tiny mochi per person. There was no luxury ingredients or whatever so really stayed puzzles about the whole experience. Seem like the restaurant tries to show luxury through the table settings but the level is far from reaching it. Once again, the food was not bad but far from...
