El Veedor de Viandas — Restaurant in Benasque/Benás

We ate here for the first time this week. Pluses: good food and wine; efficient service despite the overworked waitresses; pleasant atmosphere with a table outside for us and our dog. Minuses: the interesting, unique offer (the pintxos you have to choose inside, the bottles of wine on the shelves you choose for your dinner, the extra dishes you can choose form a menu) goes COMPLETELY unexplained, as there is no info on the menu about this, nor a host/ess to help you. New diners inevitably feel lost, not knowing if there is a waiting list, if they to go in to order wine or pintxos (they do), and this makes it all a bit unnecessarily confusing and stressful for the customers (which it should never be). It doesn´t help that the pintxos bar is sandwiched in the back between the bathrooms and a few tables, why so far away? If they could fix this part, they would get 5...

I was here right after Christmas, first bar to visit in Benasque. Very cozy place with with selection of good wines and the tapas (!!!) I loved those. The variety is endless and as many I tried they all were mouth watering. And staff is very friendly and fast on their feet. Will come back here while in Benasque and most definitely will be looking forward to return...

Ich habe hier die Tapas ausprobiert und ein Toast gegessen und mein partner hatte den carpacio.

Ich gebe klare 5 Sterne weil:

Wir haben den System von 'Tapas Buffet' und 'a la carte' am Anfang nicht verstanden, und wir können kein Spanisch, jedoch war die Kellnerin super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sie hat und alles erklärt und sich für uns die Zeit genommen.

Auch wenn das Restaurant komplett voll war, war die Bedienung schnell und freundlich auch mit Ausländern und Touristen.

Das Essen war sehr gut, es war 100% selbst gemacht und frich. Ich empfehle die Tapas und ihre Toasts.

Die Portionen sind nicht klein, man wird satt davon, und wenn man noch ein wening hunger hat, kann man sich ein paar Tapas gönnen oder ein bisschen Iberico Schinken (wo frich geschnitten wird)

Das Restaurant ist sehr sauber und nett eingerichtet ohne schnick schnack.

Insgesamt war das mein Lieblingsrestaurant in Benasque und absolut empfehlenswert. Da sie keine Reservationen annehmen würde ich empfehlen früh da zu sein um einem Tisch...
