ConBrassa — Restaurant in Benidorm

What was meant to be special treat (given the cost), was quite simply awful!

As a family dining out somewhere special on Valentines night, we booked 3 days in advance, to arrive to flustered staff rushing around and them confessing to have not received our table booking. Furthermore, when they eventually found our booking, we were swiftly shown to our table with no apology for the confusion or wait, with the table set up for 2, not 4 as booked.

Booking organisation was clearly chaos and I'm not surprised with the phone consistently ringing. We certainly observed and felt that chaos.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were rushed and made to feel extremely unwelcome. We were only sat down for a few minutes before being asked to order. Starter plates were cleared away before we had finished (despite saying we hadnt finished) to make way for the sudden arrival of main course. Waitressing staff were running around and dumped the food on our table with no smile or service and the head waitress was pretty impersonal and blunt on most occasions too.

The food however was faultless and worth every penny! Its such a shame that the front of house team left us feeling robbed and unwelcome at every interaction.

We didn't tip and left without dessert with the favored option being any where other than conbrassa.

Sadly we shall not be returning until their front of house team improves...

It was the worst experience during our vacation in Spain.

We didn’t have a reservation and just came in for drinks with some starters. We were seated without any concern about the rule of “course” order. After 2 mins they asked about drinks, we got 2 glasses of wine. Then a waitress came to get our food order - we just ordered a set of oysters and a dessert. And her reaction was just out of the world - she looked at us and said “no, you can’t just order these. It’s a restaurant” I’m sorry, what? We didn’t order a coffee or something, but what the problem of ordering just that? We came from Paris and we know perfectly that cometimes you can only have a course or a full dinner. But for this kind of places you can clearly know it before you seated, and even when you’re coming in - they kindly reminding you about it.

In this case the lady was super rude and even shouted at us - it turned out she’s okay with the order of 3 meals for the table, but “only for tonight”. Thanks God that there is no next visit for us to this place.

AGGIORNAMENTO: siamo stati al principio dell'estate esattamente a giugno e devo dire che ci siamo trovati malissimo!! Servizio quasi ineaiatente..abbiamo ordinato le bevande, e la cameriera si era dimenticata del vino fi o a dopo gli antipasti non ce l'ha servito. Ordiniamo la carne come sempre e arriva al tavolo 1 entrecote nera (avrà sicuramente preso aria e il sangue era diventato nero. Il problema è che ae la ordini poco cotta si vede eccome il nero) abbiamo fatto notare alla cameriera che 1 entrecote non andava bene dato il colore e lei subito ha risposto che non aveva nulla ed era lo stesso taglio dell'altro e che l'avrebbe cambiata. Arriva con quella nuova e insiste ducendo che andava bene perchè non aveva nulla anche se alla seconda aveva ancora delle parti nere. Da chef sappiamo che se è nera è perchè ha preso aria. I dolci non erano buoni come la volta precedente. Non sò se è pa loro politica dell'estate fare così perchè tanto ci sono una marea di turisti ma il fatto è che ha perso 4 clienti e che tutte le volte che abbiamo cenato li ci abbiamo lasciato minimo 300€. Sicuramente non ci ritorneremo più ed è un gran peccato ma se la qualità del servizio e della qualità della carne non ne vale la pena.

Situato nella cala di Benidorm a 2 passi dall spiaggia e con una vista favolosa toviamo ConBrassa. Un bel ristorante con un arredamento contemporaneo/ moderno. Ne avevamo sentito tanto parlare e finalmente siamo riusciti a provarlo. Il personale è molto cordiale, attento alle richieste del cliente. Il locale oltre ad essere bello si presenta molto pulito e con una vista ividiabile sulla spiaggia di Benidorm. Subito dopo aver ordinato le bevande ci hanno portato un aperitivo di benvenuto ben servito ed elegante. La carta è molto amplica e variata, entranti freddi/caldi, carne/pesce e dolci. Hanno anche una gran varietà di vini. Abbiamo ordinato 4 entranti, 4 principali e 5 dolci. Tutto molto buono, servito in maniera elegante. L'unica pecca era la pata de pulpo che era un pò ciccosa; ma le tartar di salmone e tonno erano buonissime. L'insalata con formaggio di capra si presenta bene e buona. Come piatto principale abbiamo preso 3 entrecote (2 di vaca vieja maturata e 1 black angus maturata) e 1 filetto di manzo, la cottura era perfetta al sangue e non è facile trovare un locale dove la cottura sia perfetta. La entrecote di black angus era molto tenera, più tenera della vaca vieja. I dolci ci son piaciuti molto e trovare un locale dove i dolci son veramente buoni e fatti in casa per davvero è sempre più difficile. La torta di mele la preparano al momento e infatti sul menù viene indicato un tempo di preparazione di 20 minuti. La mille foglie ci ha incantato e la zuppa di cioccolato bianco e gelato al mango era favolosa. La torrija era buona ma non mi ha entusiasmato più di tanto. Spero che in futuro non cambino perchè ci ritorneremo molto spesso. È stata una bellissima serata e ottimo servizio, ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Super raccomando per chi è un'amante della...
