Asador Bilbao Brasan — Restaurant in Bilbao

Absolutely marvelous—that’s the best way to describe our dinner at Asador Bilbao Brasan.

From the first bite, we knew we were in for something special. The fried anchovies were a perfect start—light, crispy, and full of flavor. The sweetbreads were cooked just right and absolutely delicious.

The standouts? Definitely the lamb chops—tender, juicy, and grilled to perfection—and the scallops, which were out of this world. Add in the misty ocean view, and the whole thing felt like something out of a dream.

Even the sides were amazing—the tomato salad was super fresh, and the white asparagus was tender and full of flavor. Everything on the table looked and tasted incredible.

It wasn’t just a great meal—it was an experience we’ll never forget. Big thanks to the chefs and especially Oriana for making the evening so special. We really hope we get the chance to come...

Called in here for dinner last week. I was originally planning on ordering the txuletón, but I was dining alone and the minimum order is 1kg (even I can’t manage that alone!). However: The rest of the menu certainly doesn’t disappoint. The staff were welcoming and friendly, keeping me topped up with various wines throughout the evening.

If you order one other thing in here apart from steak, ensure it’s the scallops. They were, by far, the best I’ve ever had. So flavoursome and fresh, and with garlic salt, they just melt-in-the-mouth. I opted for a rare sirloin, which I could not fault and would happily have again. Dessert: Basque cheesecake. So creamy. So subtly delicious.

I’ll be returning with a dining companion for the txuletón at some point, and highly recommend this restaurant to anybody who loves a relaxed evening with great produce over a few glasses...

Made a reservation and arrived 15-20 earlier due to circumstances. There were clearly multiple tables available to seat me and maybe serve me a drink or start me of with an appetizer while I waited, instead the manager, in an arrogant and conceited manner tells me that, “ just like when you make an appointment with the dentist, you are not served until the exact time.” Even though the opened tables were not reserved for certain. Needless to say I did not stayed to spend my money in a business that thinks they are doing me a favor by me spending my money with them, rather than it be a mutually beneficial transactional relation.
