I have not experienced such bad service anywhere else. Highly recommend to avoid this facility if you don’t want it to ruin your day. A bunch of us went in looking to buy some snacks and drinks, while the others wanted to also use the bathrooms. The lady in the store practically pushed us out the way and locked the bathroom doors. She closely monitored us until we had paid for our stuff before letting us use the bathroom. We tried to explain her that we are paying customers and not just trying to use the bathroom, but she didn’t want to hear it.

The day before we went to this restaurant, I read the comments, and I have to say they are true. The food was tasty, with a selection of homemade Spanish dishes. The waiter, possibly the owner, was a good and helpful guy.

However, the lady overseeing the toilets, probably his wife, was strict and had an impolite attitude. She seemed to treat customers as if they were there to rob the place. Despite my partner being short, we were initially told we couldn't have a chair on the bench, but the waiter promptly provided one upon request.

Avoid the Aqui Me Quedo restaurant in Masca. There's an extremely rude and unpleasant woman (proprietor?) who stands by the toilets, aggressively demanding 1 euro from each person wishing to use them. She glared at us and didn't communicate other than to firmly tap a small and barely readable note, taped to the wall, which has 1 euro written on it. This happened to us even though we had just purchased and consumed coffees on the premises. It's not as though these facilities are nicely maintained, they are unhygienic with no wash basin.
