After a full day of exploring Cadiz with my family, we were looking for a spot to eat where my brother (fussy eater) could be satisfied! Sat immediately by a friendly waitress we looked at the menu, a good, widespread selection of things at not a bad price! We were starving so dove straight into main courses, both my Mum and I chose the "Premium cod loin (grilled) with crispy leeks" served on a bed of potatoes - absolutely gorgeous! Lovely seasoning and cooked brilliantly. My Brother tucked into the "Grilled entrecote retinta" it comes with potatoes with crushed rock salt on the corner of the slate it's served on. He thoroughly enjoyed it and continued to try and pick off as meat as he could off of the remaining fat! My Dad chose the "Iberian pork secreto" - again served with potatoes and crushed rock salt and throughout the meal would not stop saying how good it was! As a family we're quite chatty and for all of us to be quiet except for complimenting our meals is a testament to the food!! Throughout our time there the waitress and waiter were very attentive to us and all of the guests! Overall a really enjoyable...

We were really looking forward to our last meal in Cadiz here, a beautiful spot, interesting menu choices and a chance to relax and watch the sun set. It was so far from idyllic though with a long wait for service, a much delayed wait to order the meal, no communication, a bread basket with no bread other than a single packet of dried bread snacks at a cost of 1.60 per person. I tried to explain we hadn't received any fresh bread so had another basket with one bread roll for two people. Then one of our main meals not ordered and a cocktail forgotten. No one noticed as no one checked back on us. I'm a restaurant owner myself so tried very hard to be forgiving but it was clear that our meal and dining experience was not on their mind. Once I pointed out the missing dinner and drink a mention of food was offered but I wasn't prepared to wait any longer having been at the table for nearly two hours.
