Taquería El Azteca — Restaurant in Córdoba

Being someone who is Mexican and eats/cooks this food on a daily basis this restaurant was extremely disappointing. For starters tortillas were flour based for tacos which is something more typically associated with “Tex Mex”. That was not really the problem though. I got two tacos. One carnitas and one chicken. The chicken was so incredibly bland and dry and there was no attempt to grill it seasoned. (Let alone grill it to begin with it was cooked) I spit out the first bite. Secondly the carnitas was not even carnitas at all. Carnitas is shredded, tender, and juicy pork, I was served pigs fat in little cubed pieces. Many places have white washed or just made Mexican food terribly but this one took the cake. It was by far the worst “Mexican food” I’ve had. I don’t recommend anyone coming here especially since I paid around 10€ for the meal...

Lovely little place, family based. They will make you feel welcome! My friend and I went there pretty late. They were full, but we still got served with a smile and lots of help, especially since we dont speak a lot of Spanish. The food was so amazing!! We order some and then order again!! Fui el otro dia con unos amigos a cenar, los tacos no estaban mal de todo pero 3 euros y pico por un taco que te comes de 2 bocados me parece caro, pedimos una enchilada de casi 12 euros ( en menos de 1 minuto casi la habiamos devorado entre yo y otro amigo), la comida llego a la hora y 15 minutos, y eso que solo estabamos nosotros 3 y 2 mesas más con unas parejas sentadas. En resumen la taqueria no esta mal si quieres que te metan una puñalada en el pecho (poco despues me fui a comerme un kebap y ya pude dormir por la noche con el estomago lleno). Sinceramente no la recomendaria nunca puesto que a 200 metros tienes otra taquería llamada andale con precios mucho mas asequibles y la misma calidad. Por cierto la cuenta nos la trajeron en un papel arrugado escrito a mano porque decian que tenian la maquinita rota, lo cual ya me da que pensar del sitio y me huele a evasion de impuestos.
