Some restaurants I will never forget - this is one of them. We loved it so much we came here three nights in a row and every evening was spectacular both in terms of the food but also the service: There were some incredibly busy times but our waitress managed it all perfectly, and was always helpful and friendly. The dishes were nothing short of amazing - traditional flavours delightfully modernized, with the pimiento salad and tomato carpaccio as two stand outs of the starter section. I also had the "manos de ternera" stew from the specials, and it was lip-smacking good, just pure comfort food. From the mains, we loved the arroz del horno (rib fingers and mushrooms in our case), the rape, the solomillo (cooked perfectly as per our directions), and - oh my god - the cachopon! While the latter might not look as beautiful as others we have seen around the area, it was certainly the best in taste, not overloaded on cheese but wonderfully balanced with sweet onions and a crunchy crust. It is huge though (not a bad thing)! Upon inquiry, the restaurant also went so far as to cook us a chuletón for our final night, and they outdid themselves again with a piece of meat that was just spectacular. I really cannot praise and recommend this place and its staff enough. If you have the chance to go...
Read moreThis restaurant is absolutely 5 star. The cachopo was the best one we ate in our trip in Asturias, the fabes with duck and boletus were delicious as well. And the cheesecake with raspberry ice cream was amazing. The waitress was super nice and professional person. My brother in law really wanted to try the anchovies but there were none. After having some amazing sliced smoked cecina and some Cabrales cheese, the waitress managed to bring from the kitchen five anchovies in a different style to the ones in the menu and they tasted amazing. My brother in law was over the moon. Thanks so much for such...
Read moreWe had the most amazing meal in this restaurant. We were a group of 14 and when we booked the restaurant a few days before we were eating there, they listened to what our requirements were and met them to highest standard.
We had a sharing, set menu. Great value, as well as meeting the needs of one of our party who is gluten free.
