Parada 52 — Restaurant in Cadaqués

Do not waste your time there, especially if you happen to find this place while looking for typical Spanish/Catalan dishes. It was probably once a restaurant that served paella and other types of rice. Today, it has clearly become a snack bar. Prices aren't excessive, although we definitely paid more than we should have. Loads of ingredients were missing from the salad we ordered, and the fries we asked for in a large portion came as a medium one. On top of that, while serving us the food (after we had waited for a while), the owner informed us that she was running out of some starters. If she would have told us earlier, we could have ordered something else. When it was time to pay the bill, we mentioned that we were a bit disappointed; the owner said she would make us a special price, but in the end, we definitely paid the full price — not...

Cute and cozy restaurant, the place looks like an old small house with a terrace, the environment is very calm and the service is great, we felt welcomed at all times. If looking for something local, this is the place.

We ordered from the fixed menu, a starter and rice (arroz caldoso) and oh boy, the rice for two could perfectly feed 4 people. Maybe it was not the seafood arroz caldoso I was expecting, it tasted very tomatoey, but although the recipe was unconventional, it tasted very good. I was sad when I couldn't finish it.

The price is great for the amount of food, keeping in mind that the quality is good.

We had a delicious lunch here that consisted of sardines, appetizer and prawn salad, seafood, paella, chicken, kebabs, and lamb kebabs, and they were all excellent. We also had sangria to drink. The garlic aïoli with the fresh bread was a treat. When I asked the waitress to buy a liter of the garlic aïoli. She laughed and told the owner a few tables away. At the end of our meal she came out with a cup full of it, wrapped in aluminum foil for us to take with us. The owner then came and asked if I wanted to have a shot with him, and we drank a digestive together. Overall a fantastic experience for a beautiful day...
