Among the many Restaurants fronting Dali’s statue, Can Rafa gives the impression of being the least touristic. As it happened, we had an enjoyable dinner to which I give 4 stars because the bill came on the too high side. It was a stormy September evening and we asked for an inside table. A very efficient waiter called Rafa (the owner?) welcomed us with style and, after negotiating the official language of the night, proceeded in showing us the offer of fresh fish. We decided for a Red Fish, with opening of fried calamari rings, little calamari alla plancha and anchovies. My two boys, against my better advice, went for steak with fries. All the starters were excellent as was the Red Fish depicted in the photo. We ended up with the obligatory Crema Catalana and a chocolate cake. Service attentive and extra quick all through the evening. Quality came with a price which, in our case was just south of 50€ per persons (the RedFish alone 80€). And we did not...
Read moreOne of the best restaurants in Cadaqués. Better to book in advance for a table at least the day before. We ordered "navajas" (razor clams) eith a teriyaki sauce. Don't be scared if they are still.moving a while as they cook it just after they day to leave the freshness in you mouth. Later some "tallerinas" which are like little clams in the grilled with olive oil and parsley. Don't miss the "pa amb tomaquet" (toasted payés bread with rasped tomato, salt and olive oil). The "arrozes and fideuas" (rice and noodles) in the menu ar quite big, so expect that is for 2,5 people, even if they put for 2. What you see in the photos is fideuá with red local.gambas,.cooked in the sauce of the gambas and with a carpaccio of the same gambas. Just one...
Read moreThis family owned and operated restaurant serves delicious food in a cozy atmosphere. Our server, who is the son of the owners speaks several languages and can answer any questions, and they offer menus in 4-5 languages as well. We had a house salad, which included asparagus, greens, tomatoes, olives, tuna among other fresh ingredients topped with balsamic and locally made olive oil. And the black fideo (noodle) style of paella which was amazing! We also saw several delicious looking fresh fish dishes as they came out of the kitchen. I’d say this place is a must have if you’re in Cadaques and want fresh, local homestyle cooking. Will definitely come back next time we...
