Long story short: some of the staff is nice, but I’d still go somewhere else because the food is bad and someone is either not doing their job or actively trying to deceive clients.
We made a reservation ahead of time and arrived by bicycle. We asked to be seated outside so we could stay next to the bikes. The staff was helpful and quickly found a solution, which was quite nice. Since one of us is vegetarian, we ordered 2 chicken burguers, and asked for one of them to be made vegetarian instead, a request the staff accommodated, so we’re quite happy so far. But then come the actual burguers to the table and the issues begin. Despite listing on the menu that the burguers came with an egg, there was no egg to be seen. When asked about this, the staff person told us that the egg was an ingredient in the sauce - which is a possible interpretation of the English menu, but not of the Spanish, which clearly states that the egg is not part of the sauce. So either they don’t know what they are serving (which they should) or they were trying to fool us. They eventually brought to the table 4 slices of something that hardly resembles a boiled egg - it looked like rubber or something. I told them I didn’t want it. Parallel to that, the chicken in the burguer was clearly one of those frozen burguers you buy for cheap at any convenience store - it had a bunch of very easily noticeable whole corn kernels in it - and the vegetarian burguer literally tasted like cardboard. We’ve been eating vegetarian burguers in this region for almost a decade, they are very common at any price point, there’s no reason for the restaurant to have picked this particular one. In the end, despite us clearly being unhappy with the egg and the vegetarian burguer situation (of which 70% was left on the plate), we were still charged full price, no questions asked or proper apologies given. Overall, despite some of the staff being very helpful, the food quality is subpar, and the way the whole egg fiasco was handled left me feeling like the restaurant is trying to cut corners and fooling clients. I’m certainly...
Read moreI recently visited Blue Beach Bar, and overall, I had a pleasant experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcome right from the start. The bar is conveniently located in a central area of the beach, making it easily accessible for beachgoers.
One of the standout features of Blue Beach Bar is its excellent outdoor seating. The seating area provides a fantastic view of the beach, allowing guests to relax and enjoy their food and drinks in a picturesque setting. The ambiance was perfect for a beach bar, and I thoroughly enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere.
When it comes to the menu, they offer a good range of food and drinks. The prices were reasonable, which was a pleasant surprise considering the beachfront location. However, there was one minor inconvenience that I encountered. The restaurant didn't have a printed menu available, and instead, guests were required to visit their website to view it. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi was not working during my visit, so I couldn't access the online menu. It would have been more convenient to have a physical menu available, especially in situations where Wi-Fi access is limited.
Despite this small drawback, I still found Blue Beach Bar to be a nice place overall. The friendly staff, central location, excellent outdoor seating, and reasonable prices make it a worthwhile spot to visit. If they can address the issue with the menu accessibility, it would further enhance the overall...
Read moreNot a good experience here today. Went into the Blue bar and approached the staff area with a till. Completely ignored for first ten minutes until I finally managed to attract the attention of a rather moody waiter who'd seem more at home in a funeral parlour. After asking and motioning for a drinks menu (My Spanish is limited but tried my best in Spanish and English) I was literally palmed off with a food menu and sent away outside. After trying to explain to yet another waiter that I was just wanting a couple of cocktails, I was referred to a QR code with a menu and told to wait outside. After another 25 mins a female waitress came and took our drinks order ( She was friendly to us so no complaints about her customer service) Ordered and was brought within 10 mins after. Good Bloody Mary, My partners Daiquiri was a wee bit too unbalanced spirits wise. When it came to paying the Bill, According to the HTOP website you get a 10% discount here as it's owned by them if you are on the AI package in their hotels (We are) , Not honoured here but not particularly bothered as after this whole debacle we were glad to be leaving. If they had more friendly waiters/Waitresses I'd have been willing to give the place another shot but as they don't and you are either ignored or have waiters take out their frustrations on you, I'll happily take my custom to EVERY other...
