Not the best. After deciding to try a paella we had a look round Calpe and stumbled upon this place. It seemed to be reasonably priced so we bit the bullet and went in. The waitress didn't speak English but I spoke enough Spanish to order a fish free paella. She asked if we wanted a drink so we order water and then she asked if we wanted bread. We said yes and she brought out 2 small bread rolls with an egg cup full of garlic cheese. It was actually quite nice as an appetiser. When she bought the paella out. I had never seen anything like it. It was burn and stuck to the pan and all the meat was burnt to the bones. I could only eat a spoonful as I ate some rabbit bone and it put me right off. To cut a long story short, when we got the bill they had charged us €20 euros for the bread. We were gob smacked the paella for 2 was only €25. When we asked about it she just shrugged as if that was the going rate. We shan't be going there again especially after walking back along the prom and seeing that other restaurants were doing a similar thing including bread for...
Read moreI looked at my boyfriend earlier today and said I wanted to go to a steak house and get ribs even though we’re in Spain.
After walking past a few restaurants, we randomly stopped in front of this place - because they had a picture of bbq ribs outside.
It wouldn’t have been my first choice, but I’m so glad we stopped. It was exactly the food and the atmosphere I was looking for.
It was calm and nice. Some waiters spoke English I overheard. But our waiter barely spoke with us, but was so understanding and polite. He got us in from the street without being too pushy. He’s energy was just so wholesome.
Food was amazing, perfect size. Just ribs, crispy fries and a small salad which was clearly freshly made - and then a soccer match in the background.
I can’t really explain it, it was just so wholesome and welcoming. All guest was just relaxing and enjoying themselves.

Read moreCozy Restaurant in rustical style. Good food with a lot to choose from the menue.
Staff is friendly, speaking spanish, german, english and french. When we studied the menue outside, they came out after some time to explain us more about the menue, but were in no way pushy.
