So very disappointing, I would eat in any of the other restaurants near by. After trying to avoid leaving a negative online review by asking to speak to the owner who was flouncing around all night taking videos for her social media, we wanted to politely and quietly give her some feedback only to be shouted at before we could say anything and accused of not wanting to pay, we explained we would of course be paying we just wanted to give her feedback rather than review online and she continued to shout at us that her food was fresh (this was not something we questioned and the finest authentic Italian (we would disagree) and everyone who comes here loves it. Judging by the last review this was a lie. So here is some detailed honest and blunt feedback for the chefs who might care if the owner does not. One seafood linguini was served with 3/5 mussels closed, it was mediocre at best and the amount of seafood was not great for the price, there was lasagne which was served luke warm on one half and cold the other, the ravioli had very little mushroom and the pasta was far too thick, it was also luke warm, and we had to send two steaks back as they were far from well done only to have them handed back sliced rather than as a filet. The steak admittedly was beautiful once cooked properly despite the presentation. We had asked for chips instead of polenta but then got no veg so paid 26.50 for meat and chips. Not really good enough. The service was abismal. The waiter never came back to ask if we wanted more drinks or to check in. Not really good enough for a restaurant who are charging customers as a high quality restaurant. Overall, dissapointed and disgusting behaviour from the owner, who is definetly not Italian and who like her staff have no customer service skills and as a plus is downright rude and incapable of receiving polite feedback which has led to...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a rushed, tourist-trap meal with microwaved pasta and indifferent service, keep walking. But if you want what might just be the best dining experience in Calpe—where food, view, and atmosphere come together in perfect harmony—then this is the place.
Perched above the sparkling Mediterranean, this Italian gem is a masterclass in how dining should be on holiday. The view alone is worth the visit—endless blue stretching to the horizon, the rhythmic sound of waves below, and the golden Calpe light bathing everything in warmth. But what makes it truly special is that here, you’re encouraged to slow down, savor, and indulge.
The chef—a true Italian maestro—crafts dishes with a passion that’s evident in every bite. The pasta is fresh, the flavors vibrant, and the seafood so impeccably handled you’d think it jumped straight from the sea onto your plate. This isn’t mass-produced "Italian-ish" food; it’s the real deal, made with care and served with pride.
And let’s talk about the bar—slick, stylish, and stocked with top-tier Italian wines and aperitivos. A pre-dinner Negroni here, with that view, is borderline spiritual.
The service? Impeccable. Attentive but never intrusive, the staff understand that you’re on holiday—this isn’t a pit stop, it’s an experience to be relished.
Yes, you might pay a little more than at the touristy spots down the promenade, but the quality, setting, and sheer pleasure of the meal make it worth every euro. If you believe that eating well is one of the greatest joys of travel, then book a table, settle in, and prepare for a meal you’ll remember long after you’ve left Calpe.
Bellissimo in every way.
This may well be one of the most relaxing restaurants I've had the...
Read moreWent to this restaurant as it looked lovely. Not too busy. I can now see why! For a table of 6 people, it took over 60 mins for our order. The young waiter basically didn't seem bothered, more interested in vaping. When the food eventually did arrive, my freshly made portobello mushroom ravioli was not very good for the price of €18.
Each ravioli had two chopped up bits of mushroom. The pasta square (5 in total) was really thick and was just warm. I ate 4 of the squares as I was really hungry. My dad's Lasagne, which had definitely not been made fresh, was equally warm!! The 2 steaks had been ordered - well done, came to the table still bleeding. The steaks were returned to be cooked even further On return, the steak had been sliced and no vegetables were delivered. Total cost of steak and chips €26.50.
When we tried to give feedback to the manager, who was more interested in filming for social media, was really rude, aggressive and shouted at us and said that 'everyone liked their food', we should have returned it if there was a problem.. Our party said we would pay but was pointing out what we found wrong with the food.
Her management and interpersonal skills need a refresher course.
I would definitely NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone unless you want to eat poorly made food at...
