Restaurante La Casita Beach — Restaurant in Calp

It takes forever to even have waitress appear at your table (even if there aren't many people around). We went there as 3 people, but we only got 1 menu card - and to get it we had to wait around 10 minutes. 2 of my friends ordered coffees and I decided not to order anything - as I wasn't feeling well at the time, due to my IBD.

I was informed in a very depreciating manner that "you have to order a drink to sit here". There were around 15 empty tables at the time, and I was sitting at the table with my friends, but I was forced to order - otherwise I'd need to go. So if you plan to just join your friends - be aware that you will be forced to order, even if you don't feel well - they really don't care about that.

The female waitress that works there is rude and if you don't look rich, expect to be treated with disregard.

The drinks (coffees and tea) were average at best, but the whole experience...

'The cream always rises to the top' Casita Beach is many things and deserves 5 stars all the way. From the setting, which is stunning, to the food, which is varied and always delightful we simply have to rate this 5 star. When comments are made about waiting, I would say, you wait because, it's fresh food, cocktails, and all at a good price. The owner is a perfectionist as well as being friendly as are all the staff. With a menu that boasts amazing fish and meat meals with their own twist it's heaven for your palate. I presume we visited during a "soft launch" of this restaurant, no name displayed, no menu displayed outside and when we asked to see a menu before being seated the staff didn't understand and seemed at sixes and sevens. The menu we were then presented with was a rather scruffy three pages stapled together. I didn't want to be in the late evening sun but was seated exactly there with a rather unruly plant constantly blowing across the table. The salads we had were adequate but unremarkable. Based on this experience we wouldn't return but they may need time...
