cantina sol — Restaurant in Calvià

Okay so my rating appears to be bucking the trend, but I was in the mood for paella 🥘 and so when we paused to look at the menu a friendly Indian waiter convinced us in. We then looked at the Google reviews (I'm big on reviews to judge a place) and I felt we had made a big mistake...but it was actually pleasant! We got a paella each in a medium sized flat bottomed metal plate for €10,95 (best price I've found so far) and I had seafood (love seafood) one that had 2 large shrimp, random mini lougistine claws (?) but nae lougistine, a few squid rings and muscles. 4 stars cause I love seafood and would have liked more of it. It tasted really really nice and I haven't been ill in 48hrs. Nice drinks too, this was a good experience and I enjoyed the paella I would like to come back.

However I think the pictures provided here are inaccurate (they look like Beach House Sol, a party...

We stayed for a week in Palma Nova for our 4 month old baby's first holiday. Cantina Sol caught our eye as it was very spacious, so plenty of room for the pram and lots of shade from the canopies, without compromising the beautiful view of the sea.

Staff were so welcoming and accommodating, and drinks were reasonably priced and good quality, so we ended up making it a daily stop off after our walk.

Every visit, staff gave such a personal touch. They greeted us like regulars, remembered our orders, and stopped to chat with us when they had time.

This place had the perfect feel for our family holiday. We couldn't recommend it enough, and look forward to visiting again...

Were in a hurry to catch our bus so chose this restaurant as it was the closest.

Ordered cheese burgers for the family. Absolutely disgusting. I don’t know what we were served, but it was not cheeseburgers. The burger’s color was pink and its’ texture was smeary. The ”cheese” was like a combination of flour mixed with oil and cheese powder. Yuck!

The children were awed watching their father scrape off the disgusting ”cheese” and nibbling on the so called ”beef”. Yuck!

Completely inedible. We paid and left as soon as possible. These five star reviews are not genuine, don’t trust...
