Siso Beach — Restaurant in Calvià

Do not recommend, poor quality food and extremely poor service. We had such high hopes coming here and booked to celebrate a friend’s 40th, how we wish we didn’t and booked elsewhere for our final night of the holiday to celebrate. Started off well, when we first arrived very nicely greeted and shown to the table, beautiful looking restaurant with a great location, and sadly that’s where it ended. This place really could be something special. Waitress could not care less, when drinks orders were being taken I wasn’t even asked what I wanted to drink, the waiter just walked off and we had to call them back, drinks came quick, we asked for some ice as the white wine was warm this never came so had to ask again, it took 50 minutes just to order our food, so in between this we were ordering another round of drinks again the waiter just walked off before taking the whole tables order. Starters arrived and one of our parties oysters had a small piece of shell left in there which she didn’t see and almost swallowed it, the oysters were not prepared properly either, when informing the waiter this was just taken not even an apology given, however the coconut prawns were nice, then again issues with ordering more drinks waiter not interested. When mains come a female waitress just chucked the plates on the table, I ordered the surf and turf, now I’ve eaten some great steaks before and know what a fillet steak is and this certainly was not fillet, I was cutting through fat for starters, and the lobster was extremely dry and overcooked, not once was we asked how the food was, one of our parties mains never even arrived and this wasn’t noticed by any of the waiting team, got a dirty look when asked about the missing meal. Next round of drinks and the waiter just walked off halfway through one of the girls ordering her drink, so had to call them back again. The attitude of the waiting team was terrible as if they didn’t want to be there and gave a very negative vibe. Also this place does not take feedback well, genuine feedback was given about the service and the attitude was not only to laugh in a friends face but also comment that hey get 800 covers a day so basically our view doesn’t matter. They are there to make money and that’s it they don’t care about their clients unless you are minted or an influencer that would give them a review on social media. It’s such a shame as this is a place I wanted to book for when I visit next time for a friend’s birthday. I don’t recommend it here and never usually leave negative reviews, however it was poor quality food, and poor service absolutely not worth the time or money, and put a dampener on the last night of our holiday. My partner and I had such high hopes for this restaurant as we booked it for the last night of our trip. Walked passed it each night with excitement only to be let down MASSIVELY! I booked the restaurant over 2 weeks in advanced only to be sat at the worst possible table in the restaurant, next to the waiter station but not just that THE BIN! Wondered why there was no menus only to realise you have to order through a barcode and look at the menu on your phone, odd considering it’s meant to be a classy dining experience. Ordered 2 cocktails strawberry daiquiri and a pina colada … both just ok. We ordered starters which were the tacos and spring rolls. Spring rolls were awful with 0 flavour to them, dry as a bone on the inside if it wasn’t for the sauce drizzled over it you couldn’t eat them due to the dryness. Tacos were tasty and that was the only thing that got pass marks. Next up the steaks, 2 sirloin steaks … not one but 2 COOKED WRONG! Medium rare but both were rare near enough blue. We thought there would be taste to them as we aren’t bothered about rare steaks just our preference is medium rare but both steaks cooked wrong was crazy and both had absolute 0 taste to them with just lots of fat on them. Peppercorn sauce bland, potatoes on the side cold. Mac and cheese wow oh wow I have had a lot of bad Mac and cheeses in my life but this has to be the worst one I’ve ever put in my mouth another item TASTELESS but the dryness looked like it was cooked the day before! Music did not match the scenery what so ever , a Spotify playlist off the head waiters phone that stopped randomly when he used it, eating a 150 euros meal to the likes of katy perrys hot and cold and avril lavignes complicated just showed that this was a fur coats and no knickers establishment. Service very much get you in get you out and get more money in that much you don’t get to sit with the bill they come over with the cash machine and the bill and stand and wait for you to pay!!! Overall they won’t care about this review because it’s all just a ploy because they know they have the ideal location and fancy enough to distract you with overpriced food that’s not worth close to the asking price. We had an awful experience at this place. It started with the service. We were waiting for someone to come take our order for around 15 minutes. I assumed it was okay as the place was busy in the evening so we let it slip. When a man came to take his order he asked us something but I didn’t hear him cause the music was loud and he was speaking quietly. He rolled his eyes and repeated with the same volume. I didn’t hear him again and had to stand up to be able to hear him as he was not willing to speak louder or bend a bit to our table. It felt like he was making us a favor and was very condescending. We’ve ordered croquettes, paella and a pitcher of sangria. We got our drink pretty quick and it was okay-ish. Not the best one we’ve had but pretty tolerable. After that we were waiting for another 20 minutes to get something to eat. That man brought fries to our table even though we haven’t ordered them. He took them away and when I asked about our croquettes he said that if we still want them it’ll take another 10 minutes. I decided not to wait for it as we had paella coming. The man who brought us paella was very nice and kind, offered to take some photos of us and he was the only positive thing about that place. Paella was black. At first, we thought that maybe it was because of some spices that were added to it. But no. It was burned. Shrimps were impossible to chew. It felt like we were chewing on a piece of rubber. Also it was very greasy and after eating tiny portions of it our stomachs were upset. We decided not to eat it and asked a different waitress if there’s something she can do about it as that paella was not edible. When I told her that it was burned she said “I see” and that was it. I continued complaining about it as we didn’t get our second meal at all and she offered to bring us some limoncellos. We were starving, potentially with food poisoning and she was offering us some booze. My friend asked if we could get a discount or a different meal as we’ve barely touched our paella. They gave us 10% discount on paella and that was it. They brought us burned paella and we still had to pay for it. Horrible experience and service.
