Restaurante La Pampa — Restaurant in Calvià

We had a terrible experience at La Pampa. The food wasn’t good nor fresh, my main was clearly microwaved and the waiter didn’t ask for how we wanted the meat to be cooked. The restaurant was empty but he was rushing around, wasn’t giving us time, was constantly there and interrupting us all the time. It was a very stressful experience. We wanted to relax in a nice atmosphere which wasn’t the case. The desserts were absolutely disgusting and we could tell they were sitting there for a long time. I barely touched my dessert and the waiter never asked if we were happy with the food. He was rushing around but the restaurant was empty. It felt like he had a train to take. I also didn’t like the fact that he was overly touchy with our children. The waiter needs to be trained. It is also very expensive for the quality and badly cooked food. We had a disappointing meal on 4th oct:Having reserved a table,for 7pm,we arrived to find it had been ‘given away’! We have waited years to visit this restaurant,so very disappointing start! The ‘waiter’ rushed us through everything,to the point of annoyance-we expected a relaxed atmosphere,it certainly was not! The result was not having a starter/dessert,as we just wanted to leave.The wine we chose was ‘finished’ and the Red option was so cold it was unpleasant with my New York Strip. Very disappointing and will not be returning. ‘Diner beware’! We stayed opposite and tempted to dissuade people,but would have been rude,just like the waiter! No tip. Hope this is a warning to all! We have eaten in this restaurant many times but it has recently changed ownership. The menu is good but fails to have a children’s menu or anything children will eat. I asked for just pasta with butter which the waiter said I could order for my granddaughter…however when the bill arrived I was as charged €19 for this!! 😡 He explained he was not the boss and the system did not allow him to reduce the price.. but nor did he tell us that we could have had the meat that accompanied the pasta to take away or that we would be charged for the complete dish!
