Il Tano - Peguera — Restaurant in Calvià

Went in here on Sep 1st at 8:45PM to get some quick bites and ordered lightly with just two dishes. Service was a bit slow which was okay but we were hate crimed and the server decided to call us a homophobic slur in Spanish thinking we did not understand it when we asked to cancel our pizza that has not yet started preparation. They argued that it was because we had the starter dish, which was finished 20 minutes before we decided to cancel. The oven from the kitchen was visible from the seating area and there was nothing in it so we didn’t think it was a big deal. The two gentlemen responded with such aggression that we didn’t even asked for it to go. 30 minutes after ordering and the pizza was NOT in the oven!! There were three parties that arrived after and had gotten their food and finished before they started working with our pizza. What a disappointment considering the high ratings on the reviews. Do not come here, the servers were not LGBT...

Tonight (9/1) around 8:30pm, while paying my bill. The server, a light-skinned man with a receding hairline, called me a homophobic slur in Spanish. He assumed I wouldn’t understand, but when I said “excuse me?” he and his colleagues just looked baffled and kept repeating “what??” instead of addressing what he said.

This happened because I asked to cancel my order—he had forgotten to put it in and only started making it when we asked for the bill. His reaction was not only unprofessional but super aggressive and refused to listen to us.

This kind of behavior and service is disgusting. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone as I would not want to support a homophobic...
