The dining experience at the restaurant left much to be desired, owing to its underwhelming service and subpar quality of cuisine. Nonetheless, the establishment did manage to capitalize on its picturesque beachside location, which provided a breathtaking backdrop of the sunset, lending an air of serenity to the evening.
Unfortunately, the level of service received during my visit fell short of expectations. The staff appeared disorganized and inattentive, leading to a less than satisfactory overall experience. Additionally, the culinary offerings failed to meet the anticipated standard. The dishes lacked the desired flavor profile, aesthetic presentation, and freshness, all of which contributed to a diminished dining pleasure.
However, it is important to acknowledge that the restaurant's saving grace was undoubtedly its idyllic beachfront setting. With an unobstructed view of the setting sun, the ambiance was imbued with a sense of natural beauty and tranquility that enhanced the dining atmosphere. This, however, was regrettably overshadowed by the aforementioned drawbacks.
Considering the combined factors of lackluster service, underwhelming cuisine, and the somewhat inflated menu prices, it is unlikely that I would choose to revisit the restaurant for a complete dining experience. Nevertheless, given the enchanting location, I might consider returning solely for a beverage, allowing me to appreciate the serene environment without the accompanying disappointments.
In summation, while the restaurant did succeed in creating a visually appealing and serene setting due to its beachfront locale, this positive aspect was offset by the unsatisfactory service and culinary offerings. For the establishment to merit a return visit, significant improvements would be required in these...
Read more5 illes ( spoken “sink e-yes” and means translated five islands in mallorquín, referencing to the Balearic archipelago of Mallorca, Menorca, ibiza, formentera and cabrera) They have 3 restaurants in Colonia St. jordi. This one I’m reviewing is on the beach . Set back into the natural pine tree area with a beautiful terrace and excellent cuisine and friendly staff. To get there you have to park somewhere on the street right in front of the hotel marques ( use it for your gps). Then you walk down to the beach and follow the waterline until you see the restaurant on your right. I highly recommend to make a reservation prior to arrival. If you are planning to come with a group you can reach out to them via the website or phone and they will send you their set menus for big groups. The prices for the groups are very affordable starting at 50€ per person with hot and cold starters, wine, water, bread and desert included apart from the main dish which in our case was paella mixta. I like coming here because the atmosphere , music, service and food are great and prices are at a very fair point. I do miss the live music or DJ sunsets on their terrace but I’m sure there is a reason why they had to stop doing that. If you don’t want to walk over the beach and want quality service and food just go to one of the other two restaurants in Colonia. The new one at the port is just as amazing, friendly and yummy. Also you get to experience a different menu at...
Read moreIn brief the restaurant is over hyped just for instagram. Access to the restaurant is via the beach and it was not stated anywhere. When you follow the google map at the end point you will not find any sign board indicating the way to the restaurant and you have to ask the near by hotel for directions. After booking a table and providing a preference, they assign you a table as they wish for. The table provided was also not good with broken leg and they had to do a temporary fix by putting a stone under one of the leg ( not acceptable by the price they are charging for ). Coming to the food, it was very basic. We had one Paella which costed 50€ ( 25€ per person), it was not worth 10€ also, no flavour and filled with salt, we left almost all of it. We also ordered Garlic Prawns Al ajillo, and it was a joke, they served us prawns with no flavour in garlic water. I paid almost 85€ in total including drinks and it was not worth at all. The view is good for sunset, but you can get it from the beach for free. The staffs have mixed behavious, while our waiter was very humble but the hostess was very rude, when we told her our tabvle is quite cramped and doesn't have any view she was very rude and started mumbling in Spanish. In short, I would not recommend this restaurant to any one. It is just a instagram...
