Apartamentos & Restaurante La Cabaña — Restaurant in Capdepera

Being a solo traveller and wanting to go to Majorca I did not want to go to a busy resort. As soon as I saw La Cabanya in the lovely Canayamel it looked just right. ||The apartments are lovely and I have to say the photographs on their website do not do them justice. The apartments are spotlessly clean and towels and bed linen are fresh and white. ||I had a one bedroom apartment with balcony which overlooked the restaurant which served excellent food and was always full.||There is a lovely pool just the right size for the 8 apartments and has lots of poolside furniture. ||Shops are 1 minute away and the lovely beach is 2 minutes away.||The only reason I have given La Cabanya 4 stars rather than 5 is because of a small problem with the Internet. These apartments are advertised as wifi in all rooms. This is not so. I made enquires to ensure I had wifi as being a solo traveller I needed the Internet, especially in the evenings when I am sat in my apartment. You can only connect to the Internet if you are close to the restaurant. In the end I asked Tony the owner where the router was placed, I then positioned myself above it and was able to connect but only when I was on the balcony. You can in fact connect to other wifi by the pool, there is also free wifi on the beach.||All in all, I loved la Cabanya. The staff are all lovey. I certainly hope to...

La Cabanya hotel is a very good 2 star hotel. Our room had two bedrooms and a large living area, great size for a family of four. The hotel has a restaurant below where the food was ok. The pool is very small and is there really to just dip in when you are hot. The patio area has comfy cushioned furniture and you could always get a bed. this is probably because the beach is only two minutes away and is stunning. The owner, Antonio was friendly and helpful when you needed him. The maid cleaned every two days, leaving fresh towels||Our favourite restaurant was the Vell Mari over the road. It doesn't look much from the outside, buy when you enter, the courtyard was a beautiful place and the food was excellent and reasonably priced.||If you are looking for nightlife and lots of bars and shops, this isn't the place for you. There are about four mini markets together which are obviously a conglomerate, because each one sells exactly the same products at exactly the same price and are not cheap.||Overall, we had a very relaxing...
