How JAVIER the obnoxious manager can destroy the reputation of a fine business not understanding the skills of hospitality nor aware why this Sunday there will be a shortage of clients attracted to San Javier close by about 300,000people to see a spectacular Air Show to celebrate 40 years of Eagle Patrol la Patrulla Águila del Ejército del Aire y del Espacio. So to reject clients whose tourist golfing business has for 28 years recommended their clients to La Tana is beyond destructive for current business, the staff, and restaurant reputation. Sickness had knocked our 8 booking to 6 apparently this was inconvenient instead of offering an alternative table we were asked to leave and spend our 310 € in another quality restaurant where we were welcomed and will receive our future recommendations to our own business clients. Read moreI have been coming , periodically , to Cabo de Palos for nearly 30 years and invariably have chosen this restaurant mainly due to its location and reasonable food .I will not ever be returning . I came here with 3 friends and we had an ok meal although the service was sketchy at best .The bill for the 4 of us was 102 euros so we rounded it up to 120 euros (30 each). We used cards so all offered our cards to the card reader shown individually to us to pay our 30 euros each .I noticed at this point a waitress whispering to a colleague pointing at us and laughing in a mocking way . It was several hours later that one of my friends noticed on his banking app that he had been charged 38 euros .We figured this may have been a genuine mistake made once but we than all proceeded to check and discovered that we had all been charged 38 euros , a clear scam . If we had time we would have returned to this restaurant to take issue but our flight was due so could not. Suffice to say we will never return and hope others avoid this thieving...

The main dish we ordered (rice with lobster) was very bitter and super soggy... We decided to return the ENTIRE dish.
To our surprise, the restaurant not only charged us for the dish we returned, but the amount was €50, a significant figure for something that could not be consumed. The manager's attitude was particularly disappointing; Instead of offering an apology or some form of compensation, the response was defensive and disinterested.
The lack of customer service and poor management of the issue made our experience even more negative. We understand that any restaurant may have occasional problems, but proper response and good customer service are essential in handling such situations.
