Having frequented the Miramar for years, we were amazed at the poor service this summer. We wanted to have lunch spontaneously and found a completely empty terrace except for one table. The bored waiters standing at the edge were very reluctant to assign us a table, pointing to existing reservations. After asking more intensively, it turned out that the reservations were only valid 2.5 hours later, so we could sit there without any problems. Apparently the staff didn't feel like setting the table a second time during the day...The food was good, the fish fresh, but we had to practically force the service. Wine was not poured or refilled, so we had to help ourselves, which seems rather unusual for a restaurant. Water and drinks for our children had to be ordered in a very complicated way, because the waiters obviously didn't like to go near the occupied tables. Despite everything, the bill was quite steep, so we will prefer to take our money to neighbouring restaurants...
Read morewhere can i start? we arrived and asked where we could seat, was 12 pm, restaurant still quite empty, the waiter looked very confused, he asked if we wanted only a drink or also eatin. We told him we wanted to eat. He was still quite strange and I asked if everything was ok, he said yes and that they split tables between who wants only a drink and who wants to eat (whatever) took our drinks order then left. Came a second waiter just to bring us bread and butter (that we didn't ask and we will only discover leter it will cost 1.25x2) i took lamp chop with fries, my husband vongole (a ridiculous portion for 17€!!!) the waiter told us was a starter, but it was actually in the section of the main dishes.
sorry but won't come back hereto our next holiday. only thing i would save is the location as it is one meter...
Read moreBest vegetable rice in town and around! If you're not into meat or seafood, but rice is your thing, don't miss a chance to try Miramar's arroz con verduras. The only 'but' is that veggie rice must be booked one day in advance (because they go and buy the ingredients specifically for you). We love to eat our rice by the sea, with Miramar's proper Spanish camareros/as looking after every detail, but also to take away our food sometimes. We highly recommend this lovely restaurant, and I haven't mentioned their traditional paellas, calderos and else, but you only need to look around the other tables and see. Ask for a little 'all I oli' if you want to accompany it with something garlicky, as...
