Hisako Umi — Restaurant in Castelldefels

Hisako Umi offers a perfect culinary escape from a more traditional Catalan fare available around town. Set in a hidden away building just off the street, it’s a charming little restaurant.

It offers delicious Japanese dining experience with a selfie of hot and cold dishes and a you’re a few sushi rolls and nigiris to choose from. It’s a little too tuna heavy for my taste, but enough to choose from otherwise.

Service was very quick, even too fast I think as we Were done in less than an hour. All the dishes were delicious though, and even paired beautifully with chilled sake.

The final dish of veal tenderloin (or sirloin can’t remember) on hibachi was a nice touch, but veal was not nice in flavour and I would much rather preferred beef...

The best sushi restaurant I’ve ever encountered. The sushi and fish were the freshest and most delicious I’ve ever tasted, with unique and unexpected flavor combinations.

The oyster shots were standout — definitely a must-try. They had a strong, lingering aftertaste that I wouldn’t want to break. If you haven’t tried them, you absolutely must. The fresh taste of the fish was exciting, especially the toro, which was unbelievably good.

The restaurant also boasts an amazing, cozy terrace. Unfortunately, we didn’t have a chance to get a table there, but I think it would be really nice to stay there and enjoy the ambiance.

Era nuestra primera vez en este restaurante y la experiencia gatronómica fue buena en general, buen producto aunque, alguna cosa a mejorar como el edamame y los niguiris, y precios razonables al nivel del producto. La persona que nos atentió durante casi toda la cena fue muy amable y correcto, el único error que cometió fue el de no guardar el corcho, ya que le preguntamos antes de pedir el vino si había algún problema en llevarnos la botella de vino sino la terminábamos y nos respondió que no pero olvidó guardar el corcho.

Nos sorprendió que la soja no estaba en la mesa, debías solicitarla constantemente porque el recipiente no tiene demasaiada capaciad y es obvió que el arroz del shusi es muy absovente.

Al acabar de cenar el camarero nos trajo un tapón de otra botella que no entraba en la nuestra, le solicitamos que buscase otro y al dueño, el Sr. Ernest Fibla, parece que no le sentó muy bien, en primer lugar porque se le ocurrió la "brillante idea" de seccionar el corcho por la mitad y taparla, con lo que al traernosala a la mesa se me ocurrió comprobar la estanqueidad y obviamente el vino se derramaba. Al reclamar al camarero que lo resolviera, el Sr. Ernest comenzó a despotricar desde detrás de la barra de una forma muy desagradable con la intención de recriminarnos que hubiésemos solicitado llevarnos la botella. Acto seguido se escondió en la cocina, con lo que vista la lamentable actitud, pagamos la cuenta y nos fuimos dejando el vino sobre la mesa.

El Sr. Enest debería reflexionar sobre su comportamiento y pensar que en un restaurante del nivel, (i) debe respetarse a los clientes, (ii) se deben satisfacer sus necesidades y (iii) es muy común que no haya inconveniente en poderte llevar la botella de vino sino te la has terminado, facilitando además una bolsa de papel para su transporte, cosa que tampoco hicieron.
