Mexicano Los Tres Sombreros — Restaurant in Chiclana de la Frontera

Usually, I supplement my reviews with pictures. This time, I couldn’t. Because when that plate with spicy nachos that we started with came out, I didn’t have the patience to whip out my camera first, we just had to dig in. And boy, these were some of the tastiest nachos I ever had. The spice level is just right, the flavors are fantastic and their portion sizes are also very decent. This also goes for the mains (tacos and a beef burrito) that we had: those were also just perfect.

I rarely give five stars, but these guys deserve it: from the friendly feller who waited on us, to their great mexican beer selection and, obviously, their incredibly tasty food, and all of that at a very reasonable price point - I can’t recommend these guys enough. En primer lugar queremos hacer referencia a los dos anteriores comentarios, en los cuales la Señora Gema y el Señor Antonio Jesús Cordoba Estrada afirman barbaridades sobre este sitio siendo completamente falso. Somos una pareja que habituamos a visitar a nuestros familiares aquí en Chiclana. Hemos venido a este restaurante en infinidad de ocasiones y tanto la comida, como el trato es impecable, solo hay que leer las demás reseñas. (Al igual que en el resto de la zona). Hoy estábamos en el local justo de al lado, la Almadraba, y estos dos señores junto con amigos o familia empezaron a faltarle el respeto al camarero del Mexicano, que muy amablemente les pidió que se retiraran de la zona de la zona de acceso a su local. Repito, DE LA ZONA DE PASO DE LA ENTRADA. Ellos estaban junto a nosotros esperando una mesa en LA ALMADRABA. Con una actitud agresiva y lejos de hacer caso al camarero del Mexicano se pusieron toda la familia en la puerta con el fin de molestar, no dejando pasar y ninguneado al empleado, mientras cuchicheaban de que poner en la reseña. Entre insultos y chulería nos hicieron pasar un mal rato a todos los que allí estábamos. Realmente fue incomodo. Me parece vergonzoso que todavía halla gente tan maleducada de tratar así a un trabajador que ofrece su mejor sonrisa todos los días, aún teniendo que aguantar a gente tan borrica como ellos, y más vergonzoso aún que mientan sobre un sitio de la manera tan detestable como lo han hecho, sin ni siquiera haber pasado al interior. Una pena que está falta de educación se vea a día de hoy tan amenudo. Todo un ejemplo de difamación y de las barbaridades que tiene que aguantar el sector hostelero, ojala que los responsables de este local tomen medidas.

Por último, Señor Antonio Jesus y Señora Gema, si no saben estar en vía pública, quédense en la granja, es donde estan los burros.

Ook al gaan ze voor Nederlandse begrippen laat open, het is de moeite waard om hierop te wachten. Wij hadden beide dezelfde keus gemaakt waarna de bediening vroeg of we van pittig hielden. Ik wel, mijn vriendin minder. Of ik dan niet het gerecht boven dat van haar wilde proberen. Wel even aangeven op de schaal van 1 tot 10 hoe pittig ik dacht aan te kunnen. Zo kon ik wat van haar gerecht proberen en zij van die van mij. Alleen houdt mijn vriendin niet van zo pittig als ik het lust, dus dit kwam er niet van. Toch was het een hele goede tip.

Zowel mijn vriendin als ik waren zeer goed te spreken. Dit samen met de attente bediening, die dus goed meedenkt en tips geeft, zouden ervoor hebben gezorgd dat we hier vaker naartoe zouden zijn gegaan als onze vlucht terug naar Nederland een paar dagen later was geweest.
