We wanted to visit because of the restaurant's amazing views to the Ciutadella port. Indeed, the view is great. We had no booking, walked in and were lucky to have spare table so we could sit straight away. But staff's overall vibe was weird and not really interactive.
We were given the menus and then after a few moments a member of staff arrived to take our drink orders. We asked for a wine suggestions and took it. The wine was great. Actually, the best part of our whole dinner.
We asked for natural juices options and were told "apple or pineapple". After choosing apple juice, a glass of (clearly bottled) apple juice arrived. We were served a bottle of water without having ordering it (which came to the table already opened) and assumed that this was a complimentary nice touch. We were wrong. The bottle was indeed charged, although, as mentioned, the bottle arrived opened and without its lid at the table.
We ordered fried calamari, pan con tomate and fish & prawn croquetas for starters. Nothing was bad, but the serving of tomato on the bread was really shy. The calamari was delicious but didn't come with aioli as a dip. We asked for aioli and were charged (without notice) for it. Another weird thing in our opinion. All in all, starters were okay.
For mains, we took pasta. Prawn spaghetti and truffle ravioli. Nothing special. Not even really felt like fresh pasta (but it wasn't promoted like so).
Through the dinner, service was not attentive or caring. Rather rushing and running around all the time and not a single friendly vibe. It felt really off.
I guess we don't have reasons to come back or to recommend as the experience was...
Read moreI have left one star off because of the treatment we received the second night we are here. First night we were seated downstairs the waiter recommended a cava for us and super food. Booked second night. Same waiter older gentleman took us to our seat on top terrace and brought our wine. The table was against wall and a long way up. My husband pulled the table very slightly from the wall. Another young waiter appeared behind us and proceeded to pull the table back. There was nobody else seated in this part of the restaurant then. He then effectively told us off and said we were taking up space for other tables how would we like it. We could quite easily have moved if someone had come to the table. We ordered our food. Croquettes which were supposed to be ham. When they arrived we could find no ham when we cut into them. The waiter then argued with us said it was us. My husband told him to take it away. He brought our main course which was delicious but we were both upset. When eaten we went down to pay. I told the owner I had been visiting menorca for 25 years and had never been spoken to like the waiter spoke to us ever before. He was aggressive and arrogant. I nearly burst into tears. Our next night we went somewhere else. Will never go back there. A shame as the...
Read moreWalking in the restaurant, we noticed the setting is was very nice, beautiful restaurant, great views, but the atmosphere was dull and it didn’t feel cozy. Service was rushed, no explanation to dishes or recommendations of local dishes , rushed, not attentive at all. We ordered too many dishes, not knowing the plating and portion size, our waiter didn’t bothes letting us know it may be a bit much, considering our choices. We felt it was not respectful, since we are already there to share memories and enjoy our experience… we felt we were mocked. The amount of food was silly and the quality was good in general. However, we did not feel welcomed or appreciated as customers. Even as we were leaving, there was not warm farewell… well, no farewell ar all if we are being honest. Lobster stew was tasty, scallops too, grilled octopus chewie, and goat chese salad was okay… We wouldn’t go back there aging with that service. Bit if you are just there for the good, knowithe menu, and not to enjoy the whole experience, i...
