Café-Bar El Gato — Restaurant in Cuevas del Almanzora

Waited 30mins, got fed up and fetched own drinks. One waiter completely ignored us, had to ask the other 3 times to take order, clearly were a bother to them. There were 6 of us and two dishes of what we wanted were sold out. Spanish family next to us were waited on and had several plates of food before we did and they kept having drinks brought to them. We waited ages for food and had to clear away leftover prawns and drinks from table after they ignored this. Awful service, hate to say this but I honestly think they don't like the British in this restaurant after observing how everyone else was treated. Sad thing is we would have spent a lot of money had the service been any good, visit there several times a year and will not go back. Aviso a Turistas. La tapa no es la que se cobra, sino la que se ofrece con la bebida, más cuando te cobran 2€ y pico por consumición.

Para nuestra sorpresa tras acudir por la multitud de reseñas que tiene el Bar por sus tapas decidimos preguntar al camarero. Nos dijo que ahora ya no ponen tapas, que eso era antes, ahora los ingleses no se las comen y las han quitado por completo. Entendemos que lo mínimo sería preguntar si la quieres o no, pero os recomendamos que no sigáis insistiendo con la pregunta pues igual os dan un bufido, como tal gato. Brilla la falta de calidad, entusiasmo y educación en el servicio de los camareros, parece como si no tuvieran ganas de atender a nadie deseosos de que allí no se siente ni un cliente. Pues lo dicho, con nosotros lo han conseguido.
